The product works well. However, I’m fairly certain that I will never need to order an additional amount. Slow, steady burn.

This is fine but pay attention to the measurements. It wasn't as wide as I thought it would be. A comparison chart or photo having it lay against a known standard would have helped. It still worked fine

This is not a paid review, and I did not receive a free product, but I do like this lantern ribbon and would definitely purchase again. It absorbs kerosene well, doesn’t give off any odors, and doesn’t produce any black smoke. It arrived on time, and was packaged very well. I noticed it burns evenly, and doesn’t not fray.

I’m new at purchasing antique oil lamps for use. I have two large lamps, both with antique Eagle burners. These type of burners have no holes around the collar inside the chimney. I bought this wick in 7/8” size, which installed easily and seems to fit perfectly. However, after lighting the fully soaked wick, the flame shrinks. No matter where I set it below the top of the burner, it will not hold a bright flame, but dies down. I’ve read that you’re not supposed to run an oil lamp with the wick above the top of the burner because that disrupts the combustion process and burns the wick itself for fuel, but I can’t get a good flame without doing so. So I’ll be looking around at other wicks, as well as possibly changing my burners to Queen Anne style. I don’t know if this is the fault of the wick quality or type, or there is some other reason. I can’t find anything specific to my problem when searching on the internet.

Looks like a quality wick. A little thicker than I thought, but that’s good. Used in a number 2 burner but haven’t tried it yet.
