Hello Sicilian mafia
This author has been my go to Mafia writer for almost a year. I fell in love with her Sinners MC and overlapping O’Donnelly Mafia books and since then I’ve binged them all. When she said she’s doing a separate mafia duet I wasn’t sure she could make me fall in love with these guys. I didn’t quite click with the leading lady in previous books and I just couldn’t imagine routing for her.I definitely underestimated her creative mind and her brilliant writing. I’m not sure how a five star author can be underestimated , but I can’t get over how much I’ve started to love Jen. Then I almost feel like I’m cheating on my Irish Mob lovers with this Sicilian heart throb.Luciu has so many things he plans to do to claim back everything he lost. As the new Don he isn’t afraid to get dirty….in every way.And since I’m a glutton for punishment this definitely ends on a cliffhanger!!

Amazing , Five star read
Luciu's and Jen's sexual chemistry is off the charts steamy , from the first second we see them together.Jen is a badass that shows she's worthy of being with The Don. Luciu is hot as sin and knows exactly what he wants and that is his Lady.Even though this is the start of a brand new series we still get to see some characters we have all grown to love, that got me super excited. Saying that we also got to see new characters and i can't wait to see if Serena makes their books come to life.OMG Serena has done it again. My mind is blown wow what an ending. I need to read the lady right now , this cliffhanger is going to haunt me until release day of The Lady. If i could i would give this book more than five stars but i can't so five stars it is. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Don is here and he always gets his Lady.
Expanding on the Filthy Feckers universe this new duet introduces us to the Valentini crime family and it's new Don, Luciu and ooft what a man he is. He knows what he wants and he won't back down until he gets his way.Jen and Luciu's romance is hot and heavy from the get go. I dare you to read the first chapter in a public space! This is a great intro to the family and I really can't wait to see more from the Valentini family. We got hints to Stan's potential love interest and I just know Aurora's story is gonna be a tearjerker.4.5 stars

Another great book by one of my favorite authors
I love all books by Serena Akeroyd and have read them all more than once. But this one is one of my favorites. Lucio, (The Don) Sicilian, tall, dark and handsome, ruthless and focused on returning his Mafia family to their rightful place in New York. When he loves/hates it is with all his heart and soul. He is strongly committed to his family, both living and dead, and as the book progresses the history of his family slowly unfolds.Jen becomes the focus of his love (as we discover right from the beginning of the book), and his determination to keep her safe and happy and to make her his is intense. However while Jen gives the impression of being confident, she is very insecure and distrusts men. She also places very little value on herself and her achievements in escaping from a difficult and often dangerous childhood. Lucio sees underneath her facade to the woman she really is, and is determined to build her confidence and self respect. The book follows the twists and turns in both Lucios' plan to take over the place of the Fieri family within New York, and his plan to make Jen his Queen. He has to face opposition from his often obnoxious brother and some of his men. There is violence, bloodshed and torture but non of it is too gratuitous and I did not feel it should act as a trigger to most. Same with the sex scenes, unless you have an aversion to reading about anal intercourse, in which case you should know this occurs more than once in the book.I couldn't put the book down, Highly recommend.

A new twist to a mafia tale
I saw this book on tiktok and wanted to read it, but I didn't expect it to be so enthralling. A different twist in this tale as jen wasn't your usual heroine, meek and mind. She was a woman trying to survive on the fringe of many mafia families. Luc was a gentleman when it came to the woman who had bewitched him. His levels if possessiveness went above and beyond that of any other mafia book I've read in a long while. I found myself unable to put the book down, even when my eyes were too tired to stay open. I loved the back stories of both characters and cant wait to see where their stories lead in the next book.

Superb & Steamy
The Don starts with a super steamy scene between the 2 main characters. The heat between these two characters is incredible and unforgettable. Many would call Jen a gold digger, she does herself, but I see her as a survivor dealing with the hand that she has been drawn and doing what she has been taught by her "mother". If you can call her that. With a lot I can often "guess" what will happen next, but not with any of Serena Akeroyds books. This book is no different. I am eagerly awaiting book 2. Thank goodness we don't have to wait very long. Roll on the 2nd September.

Oh my word...
What a story... This is only part one. Left on a cliff hanger. I almost don't want to write the review now cos I want to read part two... But I will because otherwise I'll forget.Jen is that stubborn, brash, brazen gold digging woman that she's not even afraid of telling people that. She's upfront about her intentions. But that chamges, everything changes with Luciu. She's been thrown in the deep end with a Sicilian mob boss but his own stubbornness and the connection between these two is enough for sparks to fly. And I don't just mean sparks, I mean knives and bullets. This is a mob world after all.I enjoyed this story because you get to see what kind of work that Serena Akeroyd has created for the characters in her to her books I'm the same world. It's amazing how her author brain works to being so many tiny details together over series and collections. It's insane! This book is sexy and saucy from the get go.It's a definite book I'd recommend (although I can't wait for book 2 to see how it will end). It's clever, fun and a completely compelling story.Well done Serena Akeroyd!
