Palm Rest Cover Compatible with Apple Old Generation MacBook Pro 13" with Trackpad Protector + Top Case Mouse Pad

I decided I needed to buy a palm rest cover for my MacBook Pro 13" because I wear rings and a watch which have already put a small little dent and scratches onto my laptop (as an editor and graphic designer I figured this was bound to happen since I use my laptop religiously). When I received the package and revealed this Top Case Palm Rest Cover, I WAS SO ECSTATIC. It's so beautiful (it had some sparkle to it to mimic the MacBook finish), and it's nice and thick, just enough to really protect your computer. I had to readjust it once or twice but it was really easy to do and it left no residue and didn't lose it's stickiness.The only problem I had with this cover was when I went to put on my Speck Case. The Speck Case lifted the cover off of my computer so I had to figure out how to put on the case while keeping the cover in place. I did that by sliding my laptop to the front of the case rather than just snapping the case on all at once. I hope that makes sense?Either way, if this Palm Rest Cover ever comes to wear out at some point (which I expect it will someday), I would DEFINITELY buy it again. It's beautiful, feels great on my skin, and nice and thick. :)

The Good:I give the Top Case Palm Rest Cover a 5 star because if you (as a customer) are looking for a good quality product that will protect your beloved MacPro. You can't go wrong with this product. It protects, its confortable has a good price compared the other brands, and it almost camouflages perfectly to the aluminum color. Also, if it happened like me, that I dropped my mac and you ended up with a horrible dent on the corner or other surface that the palm rest will cover. It makes it look like new! I have bought 3 items my wife also used one and my mom. We are all happy with it! Residue, sweetie hands, grease, or other nasty things won't harm your macPro because you have a product that will work perfectly! I recommend buying this items if you are looking forward to maintain your MacPro in great conditions!The Bad:You really need to clean the Mac Pro before applying other wise surface will interfiere with adhesive.Think before applying and have a tutorial video of an affective installation.The track pad will get less sensitive to touch. Only when doing the click. scrolling and multi gesture is still great!

I should have bought the one for the 15" macbook pro, but thats my fault. It clearly says on here 13" and it said so on the packaging for it. I put it on anyways to provide some protection and it seems to work pretty good. It may be taking a little sensitivity out of the trackpad, but I can still work it and I mostly use an external mouse anyways. I plan on getting the 15" version of this when I return from traveling. To be clear this is only a palm rest, it does not cover or protect the keyboard. It just covers the trackpad (separate sticker) and the frontal area around the trackpad. For 10$ though its a good value for a little bit of extra protection, especially when you think about how much money you put into your macbook pro.

I read other reviews and was a bit skeptical, but this fit my computer perfectly! I've wanted a palm rest and a mouse cover for quite some time just because I wear bracelets and a watch that scrape on my laptop when I type. This one works well!It doesn't match the aluminum perfectly, it's more of a very metallic silver...which I actually prefer to my MacBook Pro's natural color. I don't have any problems with the touch mouse...it still works with one tap and handles all of the gestures. I credit this to no air bubbles during application.I do have a few suggestions for application, however. Btw, I did have to reposition the palm rest the first time because I stuck it on a bit crooked (user error!) and it did remove without leaving a residue and was re-positionable. I suggest if you do this, though, be slow and careful and don't tear or crease the decal.Here's how I applied both pieces:1. Wiped down computer with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball...made sure it was thoroughly dry.2. Applied the trackpad sticker FIRST, starting at one side and used a credit card to press out all air bubbles during application.3. Applied the palm rest cover, also used a credit card to press out all air bubbles during application.For the price and the quality, and the purpose it now serves, NO COMPLAINTS HERE!! :) :)

It feels ok, and it fits well on the touch pad i guess.The problem is maybe it is too thick so it reduces the sensitivity of the touch pad, I usually use one-click like Windows system, however after I apply it, I have to tap more than two times to make it work, or sometimes I have to just press the pad instead.I just bought my mac book, and this product makes me feel that my mac has been used for so long that the touch pad works no longer well.I want to return it at first, but I have already applied it and it will not be worthy if I pay for the shipping... so, well, I think I will soon tear it off.

The TopCase palm rest is worth getting to protect your Macbook from any scratches or marks. It's not expensive at all, so if you don't like it it's not a big deal, money wise. It was pretty simple to put on, but since I'm a perfectionist it took me a few minutes. There were some noticeable air bubbles that I managed to get rid of, but there were some that I had to really look for after finishing up everything. The thing that really irritated me was when I tried putting my TopCase hard cover back on, it kept messing up with the palm guard, but that's not a problem with the product itself. The guard feels great and hopefully it will protect my Macbook for quite some time.
