too bad
the product is fine but it did not arrive for 6 weeks and the box was completely crushed. I would not order again.

Great for growing organic fruit
Like most others, I got this for protecting fruit from insects, not for wearing on my feet! I'm not sure why the manufacturer doesn't just switch to making products specifically for fruit, since there seems to be a much higher demand for this than for use as crappy socks. These are very easy to slide over fruits while they are young, and you can adhere it with a simple baggy tie, which I also git in bulk for a low price, I think 2,000 for a few dollars. They will stretch and get bigger as the fruit grows, and you might be able to reuse some of these in subsequent years. I have heard that these work best on peach, nectarine, and apricot trees, and that Ziploc bags work better for apples. I think that is probably true, except that the squirrels haven't really touched my apples yet, but they ate almost every single one of my peaches and nectarines. I'm not sure if this is just a preference for peaches over apples, or if ziploc bags actually help to block squirrels. So the main downside to these is that squirrels can bite right through them, and then the bugs can get in. I had also tried another brand that was faster to arrive, but a little more expensive and lower quality than this one. As long as I can order these a little bit in advance to account for shipping time, I will always try to buy this brand in the future.

Save the Apples from Apple Maggots!!!!!!!! (And Coddling Moths, too!)
No, I don't wear these socks; my apple trees do! I put these on the young apples when they are about the diameter of a nickel and it keeps out the apple maggot fly and the coddling moth from laying their eggs in the apple. These pests, brought to our area by thoughtless buffoons, enter the apple from the blossom end and the worms end up destroying the apple. These socks are a hassle, but it is either put them on or lose the crop. Rock on!

Works for a Special Use
Like some others, I bought these not as foot sox, but as apple protectors. Previously we were putting paper sacks over our apples in our small orchard to prevent bugs. But, these work much better and seem to be holding up well. It's our first year to try them. They have been on now for about 2 months and the little apples have grown quite a bit. Thus far they seem to be keeping critters off, plus you can see the apples through the mesh. A great inexpensive way to manage apples! Update 7/30/14: Just wanted you to know that we have harvested our summer apples and the foot socks just worked dandy! The apples were full size and there was still plenty of room left in the socks. We'll be using more of these next year! But, depending on what pest load you have, you may want to get them on when the apples are quite small to prevent access.

Worth the price...
We created a game room at work that also has a relaxing area, so we got these foot massagers for employees to use. Since obviously it not healthy for everybody to be sticking their feet in the machines we had to have something to protect the item. These and antibacterial spray do the trick awesome. The socks are well made and thick. The only issue and it's not a biggie is that they should come a little longer but like I said it's not a big issue.
