With this on it ensures the water stays in the pipe until it’s done draining. This worked very well for my use. I like this overall design however there looks to be a major flaw.The product itself is wonderful, sturdy classy and easy to disassemble. Quality is good, Its very useful, very compact looks good. This will avoid any fouls smell coming in from drain and prevent insects and cockroaches away.

This is a great invention! It's an excellent design. my washing machine drained too quickly. With this on it ensures the water stays in the pipe until it’s done draining. Works. Simply shove the hose through, shove down the drain until into the hole. I Had a little stink from the trap and this keeps it out. This is exactly what we needed to stop sewer backflow from coming up from our washer drain.

This pop up drain assembly is AWESOME!!! Right from opening the box you can tell this is a first class product. The packaging is excellent. I really wanted to like this and it is a good idea. Basically the foot goes into the basket, you pick it up by the stem to dump out, and you can flip it inside out to help dislodge food.Good for washing machine outlet pipe connector, really anti overflowing product.
