Rack-A-Tiers 55632 The Big EZ

Bought 2 with another one on order. In the picture attached I'm spooling 1/2 inch heavy heliax cable and it's holding up great. Moving around the job site with reels and setting up for a run is much faster and easier now. This does not include a pole and it's a narrow diameter slot. Keep that in mind - I went to Home Depot and tried to use a fence pipe on this but it was too thick. I got lucky on the site and found some thin steel rods that worked. Overall very pleased.

It came defective from manufacture, I don’t think that design would withstand every day usage anyway.

A great little cart that really makes the job so much easier. We load it up four spools of #8 wire so pulling is easy as it unrolls. Add your own length of steel pipe to hold your spools (suggestion: make your pipe about 2' to 3' longer than your last spool as this extended handle makes wheeling it around easier.)

I have the smaller version of this, which was very simple and easy to assemble and use. I bought this one because the tubing I use for the smaller one touches the ground slightly. Trying to assemble this was a complete nightmare. I got one wheel on easily, but for the second wheel, I had to hammer it on with full force, and the wheel popped off the center part, so I chiseled that back down to eventually get it all the way on. After that, I tried to get the metal caps on each side, which was near impossible; they were way too small for the size; you had to put them over even with a hammer. It took about 10 minutes per cap. After I finished all of this, I tried to roll the wheels, and they rubbed against the metal frame, making them not move very well at all. They got stuck and left marks on the floor as well. However, with a lot of weight, I can see this not being a problem once you have a few rolls of tubing on it, but it is still poorly made, unlike the design of the smaller one. I don't know why they strayed away from that design. Either way, I'm still going to use this product and still think it's worth having, but the assembly and build quality compared to the small one is not worth this price. All they really need to do to make this better is add a little more space for the wheels and, instead of the dumb caps, add a hole for a cotter pin. It's so simple, like the smaller design. I can't understand why they didn't do this in the first place. It's more secure anyway.

Not as large as you would think. Don't go by the photo you cannot wheel this around with coils of MC on it. It will be close with Romex, for the price it will work well for 2500' spools of THHN and other items, but cannot replace an MC dolly.

All previous wire caddys I've ordered have come with a center rod that you slide into the spools. This one only came with the stands. This should be noted in the item description

I liked the Big E-Z. Just wish they could put bigger tire set up on it for grassy lawns and muddy area's.

The difficult assembly stems from, no instructions, poor and loose bearings, paint part way up the axel and no stop to hold the wheels in place, once you get the wheels and bearings on…in the right direction good luck getting the cap on to keep the wheels on the axel. Wheels are not big enough or good enough for pulling through grass. The worst one I have ever used.
