KBShimmer Shade Shifter Multichrome Nail Polish- 0.5 oz Full Sized Bottle

It is a beautiful color, and it reflects different shades of violet, blue, and green depending on lighting and the angle you are viewing it from. It glides on almost effortlessly, and doesn’t get clumpy even when I am sitting in front of a fan for better ventilation. Dry time is pretty average, I would recommend using this when you have a good half hour to sit still after you finish painting your nails. It works best over a black basecoat, but two coats without a black basecoat is going to work fine as well. It doesn’t chip very easily, but I am semi-feral and very rough on my nails, so I can chip this after a couple of days wear. If you are a very neat and well behaved lady, I think you could easily get a week’s wear out of this. But either I need a different magnet, or the magnetic properties did not make it into my bottle. Mine did not come with a magnet, so I bought one off of amazon. Tested the magnetic properties of that magnet with different metals, and it worked fine doing that. Just very ineffective with this polish. Maybe I just need a remedial magnet class? Maybe I am just spoiled from cat eye gel and I am expecting too much from this polish? IDK. There was no visible difference in my nail polish after using a magnet, even when I used the magnet immediately after each brushstroke. Anyway, five stars, because even if this is just a dark glitter polish (and not magnetic as described) it is still gorgeous. The price is pretty fair for how high quality this polish is. It outperforms some of the major brands in ease of application.

I like the color a lot. The color changing effect is dope/lit (however the youth refers to it). I tested it outside and it looks a lot better outside than inside. Dries quickly, I don't know how well it stays on by itself because I used a top coat to protect it either way (as I think you should). Came really quickly through mail in really pretty packaging (not that it matters much but it was nice). I have received numerous compliments and I feel great. I used around 3 coats too as most reviews say. I bought black nail polish for the base but it didn't come in time and I just wanted to test it. This is my first nail polish purchase so I don't know if the price is good or not but I will say it is for how nice the effect is and for how expensive nail polish either way seems to be. I am a guy who wanted to try it out and I don't regret it. I can't really say anything negative because I'm pretty satisfied. Update: Last around 2 weeks with a top coat and three layers of this. It didn't chip or discolor and they nail polish fell off because I frequently do stuff with my hands like chores so one nail peeled off and I decided to peel the rest off too

Please excuse my hand and nails. They're not perfect, but this is after having worn the polish for one week and 2 days. I've seen reviews on chipping, and I'm not sure what's going on, but personally, there has been no chipping. Though I did put two layers of top coat because I was worried of chipping, and here are the results of that: still beautiful! It's so pretty, this is now my new favorite polish and it is worth the high price tag. I did put on a base coat, then one layer of Sally Hansen's insta-dri polish (in black). Also in other reviews, people are sharing on putting more than one layer -- in my experience, just using one black layer helped a LOT. Just one swipe of this beautiful shade & it was already well-pigmented and shimmering. I could've stopped there, but I did but on another layer to see if there wa a difference, which there wasn't. So it was mostly to cover any spots Including the two top coats, there are 6 layers of polish in the pic, but I could get away with 5, 3 or even just the black and this polish together. But to avoid chipping & have a base coat, that's at least 4 layers. (This explanation is for anyone that adds a base and top coat, but doesn't want to have like 7 or more layers on a single nail.) I love how beautiful this color is and it does shine blue in certain lighting. It's pretty trippy looking at it a certain angle and you can see both colors at once...so if you close one eye at a time, then you can see each color separately.

Professionals say to maintain your at home manicure you 1) remove all polish 2) clean nails with alcohol 3) use a base coat 4) apply at least 2 coats of color and 5) use a good top coat. I did all that but it's only been a few hours so fingers crossed it holds up. Now the pros - it goes on smoothly, dries pretty quickly between coats and the color variation is really fun. Cons- the brush is very wide at the bottom so getting the edges right is a little tricky and the bristles kept coming loose so I had to grab them fast without messing up the other hand. Bottom line, it's a little more expensive than I usually pay for nail polish but if it wears well it could be worth it.

This is regular polish - not gel so no curing required and regular remover takes it off easily. I have a few different brands of magnetic cats eye polish and this one - specifically this color is AMAZING! It's very saturated with metallic pigment so the entire nail retains color when the magnet pulls it into the shape you want. I'm telling you this because sometimes with this type of polish the color can all pull up into the magnet design leaving the rest of the nail black (or whatever base coat color you use) - which is also pretty but not my preference. Uploaded pictures don't do any justice at all for this type of polish - so much prettier, dimensional and lively in person. I tried to capture the range of colors from greenish to red depending on the direction the light hits it and whether it's behind or in front of you. Unfortunately my camera doesn't pick up the green but it's there and it's intense. You can get the full effect yourself by holding your hands palms down about chin level and facing the sun or a bright light. It will look green. Then, keeping your hands up like that, slowly turn away 180 from the sun until it's directly behind you - watching the amazing color change from green to yellow, gold, orange, rust and finally red - which is the exact opposite of green. Plus the cats eye effect that you need to see in person. Anyway, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and know you will be too

Update: This polish is beautiful but it dries up in the bottle quickly. I think it's the brand because I have 2 different colors from this brand and both bottles dried up even though the cap was on securely. I loved this polish enough to buy it again but this will be the last time I purchase if this bottle dries up quickly again. Also when I received the newest order, it appeared to have been opened (not used) but there was polish on the lid. THe last set of pictures (collage) are 2 coats with a glossy top coat, pics taken indoors. This polish is so gorgeous! I couldn't get good picture that would do it justice but it is so vibrant and shimmery in the sunshine. It's so much prettier in person. It's absolutely perfect for Fall, this will be my go to halloween and Thanksgiving nail polish. It's so gorgeous. It drys a bit dull so a glossy top coat is needed. Good price too. It doesn't come with a magnet but I had one from another brand. If you have a magnet it'll be perfect for you. I put this over a fading mani of multi chrome polish of another brand. I'm anxious to try it on it's own or over black nail polish. Fully opaque in one coat. I'll update with longetivity. Really pleased with it. Definitely worth it!!! You'll love it! Fast shipping and great packaging. I also purchased the shade shifter but haven't worn it yet.

This polish is worth every penny! It's multichromatic effect is fantastic looking. It's primarily blue and purple, but depending on the angle and the lighting in the room it can appear pink, red, orange, almost yellow and even black. Sometimes I'm reminded of the visual effect of motor oil in water, but not at most angles. During the day in direct daylight It seems more bright blue with darker blue and purple accents. At night, however, it seems more purple and magenta. It goes on very smoothly and doesn't take forever to dry if you apply it properly. It's very unique looking. Some polishes that look nice when you see them in the bottle and in pictures on the internet, but look really tacky when you get them home and put them on. This is not one of those polishes. It's fun, maybe a little edgy in certain circles, but so gorgeous and fascinating, while being understated enough as to remain classy. I started getting compliments on it the first time I left the house. If you're a fan of purple or blue polishes you really must pick this one up. I applied a clear base coat, three coats of Shade Shifter, and a clear top coat. I haven't played with undercoats yet to see how it alters the effect, but I'm eager to try it once this starts to wear and chip.
