Will this stiffener go soft in rain or wet weather?

It is a starch based product, so it will eventually get soft. When that happens I re-apply, then set the hat in a 350 degree oven for 90 seconds. Nice and stiff after that!

Concensus on how necessary this is, "If you do not steam this product ... Steaming is a priority."?

Steaming gives best results but most at home users do not, and they have good results as well. The steam pulls the product into the felt deeper

Will this work on the brim of a baseball cap? I I want it curled more, but the material is so thick. Thanks

I use a heat gun to get the curve I like on ball caps. Be careful not to scorch material. Its best to have it setup in a frame of wood with the arch you like then apply heat in all areas of the bill and let it cool and do it again. The second time I usually wet it to make sure it stays. Most hats have plastic in there. So quick cool with water works well on second time.

Would this product work on a suede floppy hat that is too floppy on one side?
