Men's Avalanche Athletic Fit Insulated Bib Overalls

Went snowboarding in them in Colorado. The high temp was 15° and I’ve never been more comfortable. All I wore under was thermal leggings. The non athletic option doesn’t have a left leg cargo pocket so if you like more storage go with these. The pockets are fine, very warm. The only thing i would add are chest pockets or at least one. The sizing is pretty honest. I bought this in a medium 32w 32L and they fit great. I bought the non athletic ones in a small 28-30w 32L I believe and I didn’t notice a difference other than the non athletic is a little more stiff material but nothing major. Overall, I appreciate the price of these for the quality you get with it. I see myself wearing these for a while, even just working out in the cold. Solid choice for sure.

Bought these for my deep south teenaged boys to ski for the first time in West Virginia. They were comfy, warm, and dry- lasting a whole ski trip without any problems, borrowed by a friend to ski in Banff again- excellent performance no problems, and lasted another rowdy snow trip to Ohio with 4 days of outdoor play and snow shenanigans at a winter camp. 10/10- rec’d to all my mom friends. Quality is excellent. Washed great, perfect movement, adjusted straps to accommodate for growth in height over the year, not too heavy, excellent value for money. Paired with wool base layer and other active turtleneck, sweater and ski jacket, ski socks and boots fit perfect underneath no problem. Durable and moved well on the slopes.

Although it has yet to even remotely warrant wearing these for the purpose for which they're designed, I can say that, upon trying them on, they fit very well and appear to be of great quality. I'm excited for winter now, or at least temperatures where these can be tested. I'm 5'10" medium build, 29" - 30" waist and 30" inseam. I ordered a 'small' and it is just the right amount of snug with a pair of jeans on, but I normally wear long johns or pajama pants under my snow coveralls which would fit perfectly. The boot gaiters are a nice touch, but I'll have to see how effective they are with snow that comes up to mid-calf and higher. I did splash some water onto them, and it didn't seem to soak through. The insides are slick, too, which I like -- it helps when getting a leg into them. All-in-all, nice design, cool color (charcoal), great fit, seemingly durable -- now just to wait to be able to test them out. Winter's not so bad if you have good gear. TESTED I'm SO happy I purchased these. I've been able to test these in -15F with -30 F wind chill. I'll be completely honest -- I couldn't be more impressed. Nothing can bother me in these. I will say, though, that I can't wear them over 25-30F or so; I begin to get too warm. If the temps are below 0F, I'll wear long johns under them, but above that, a simple pair of flannel PJ pants will suffice -- just as a layer or boundary OR if I need to dress out of them for whatever reason. I don't know of anyone who just wears coveralls with nothing under them. The built-in leg gaiters function very well, and I'm happy to have them. I have worked for several weeks now with snow on the ground, sometimes up to several feet and I have yet to have any snow get into my boot. The elastic and material that's integral the pant leg do a great job of hugging the boot and stay at the bottom of my laces. The only thing I'd change is adding belt loops OR a place to stow a knife. Yes there are pockets; however, for a frequent knife user -- they're far from ideal. I have added a nylon riggers belt with molle-like loops on it and that has seemed to help quite well. I am able to add a fixed blade to my gear. As far as the overall material and craftsmanship of this piece of gear, I'm very impressed and am confident to wear this on the worst of days.

These aren't bad. I picked these up for a bit over $30 and was happy with them at that price. If I'd paid $86 or whatever the "normal" price was, I'd probably feel like I overpaid, but these are very warm, water resistant and decent quality. Pros - the suspenders are nice, the fabric is decent and they are quite warm Cons - cheap feeling zippers, stitching quality is pretty "meh" I'm using these as winter boat bibs and I think they'll hold up well for that purpose. If used for skiing or something more active, I could see these falling apart after a couple seasons.

Fit is great and along with some good clothing underneath, I stayed plenty warm in freezing temperatures. However, there is one serious issue with this product. There are zippers at the bottom but only 10” or so. They are not full length zippers; therefore, you cannot put them on with boots. A problem if you’re getting ready in the field in sub-freezing temperatures. Will go a different route but keep as a spare as I can’t return them in used condition.

It is advertised as frequently returned due to tight fit. I’m very skinny and tall and these are great for a nice pair of jeans underneath and fit great. Would not recommend for someone who is on the bigger side at all. They wash really nicely in the washer and dry completely. I’ve been wearing them since I got them and I’m constantly in and out of a vehicle driving and no rips or tears so far which I’m impressed. Not too bad on the value at all!
