Carbyne Grease Gun, Pistol Grip, Anodized Aluminum Barrel

Upon arrival I loaded it with a tube of Dexter Lithium #2 grease. After a short period of time I noticed grease leaking from the bleed valve. I reset the valve several time in hopes of correcting the leak to no avail. I then sent an email to seller customer service and immediately heard back from a rep named Jacob. He advised he would immediately send me a bleed valve and for my troubles a gun kit, what ever that is. I was very appreciative and delayed finishing the job I started assuming I would soon receive the new bleed valve and and took the pressure off the grease gun to slow the leak. I am located in Las Vegas and the valve was being sent from CA. I waited for over a week and emailed Jacob and never heard back. At this point I will be returning grease gun to Amazon. Very disappointment and never again will I purchase their product again. I understand things can fail but when new I expect support and not phony lies. UPDATE: Prior to returning the gun to Amazon I again contacted the mfg in regard to not receiving replacement bleed valve as promised. I was advised it had been sent but they would resent one immediately. They were very apologetic and understanding. Within a few days I did receive a new valve as well as a bulk loader. I replaced the bleed valve and the gun works perfect, no more leaks. The only question/concern I have is the strength of the spring. I have never used a grease gun with a spring so powerful. Bottom line, the gun works as designed w/o leaking and I had great customer service. Hence the 5 star rating.

This is the finest grease gun I have ever used let alone owned and I've owned several over the years - each one has been a nightmare to use. You know the story, grease everywhere but where you're intending and erupting from every connection point on the tool, right? Well, I own a lot of tools and rarely get excited about any of them. I have to admit that this tool worked so well it prompted me to throw my not-so-old grease guns (two...) right in the trash and bend my wife's ear about what a great tool this was. I did take the advice of another reviewer and installed Teflon tape on all of the threaded connection points prior to use. I can't say whether or not this was necessary, but it seemed a small investment in time to avoid those annoying grease escapes.

First and foremost, I had ordered it plus grease at about 10am. It arrived at 7:30pm. Amazon prime same day delivery rocks! I had a small tractor that needed greased for Monday morning and it's Sunday. Package arrived, followed the simple loading instructions and had the tractor greased up and ready to work by 8:00pm. I had a couple of clogged zerks (machine is run by a few people). This gun forced the grease right on through, dislodging the clog like a boss. I couldn't be happier for the price.

works well, once you figure out which end to put the lube tube in. ;) I was trying to get it in the bottom half at first and could not figure out how to close it with the spring compressed. I'm an idiot, 'cause you put the tube in the TOP first with the bottom screwed down and the plunger pulled out. my bad. Easy application once setup properly, no mess (so far).

Arrived packaged well. Followed easy to understand directions. Gun is well made. Fits in the hand comfortably. Attachments fit well & did a great job delivering grease. The flexible hose allows for around wheel fittings to be greased. The ninety degree accessory snapped on & made the hard to reach fittings easy to lubricate. I am very happy with this grease gun.

I looked at other identical guns on here that just looked to have different decals on it; Lucas and powerbuilt. Not sure why I've seen so many bad reviews. Unless the product manufacturing is very inconsistent. But I was skeptical from the reviews. I'm a Refrigeration technician that also wrenches on my boat and vehicles at home. So very light to mid range use I will say this piece is great. I did teflon tape all the threaded fittings before use. Because I saw pics of it having leaks on those other identical units. If you're a mechanic you should know some tephlon tape is an easy fix. On first usage on about 8 zirks it performed great and seems to keep that trend up. So don't listen to other reviews that are negative. I'm a real person with no hidden agenda to knock a product. This pistol grip design is great. It pumps well and I'd buy again.

Fairly good grease gun. The hose included is way too short. There is an optional longer hose that should come with the gun, but you have to purchase that separately. The seal on the plunger inside the barrell is not replaceable. This seal is usually what gets worn out after a period of time and causes the gun to fail. The floating spring that is located on the hose is worthless. It is there to prevent the hose from kinking. The spring needs to be attached to the coupling on the hose directly, if it is to keep the hose from kinking. The rubber boot that acts as a gripper on the barrell, is a good idea, but rubber will deterioate in a short period of time. The gripper should be neoprene, that will last longer around grease. The grease gun looks nice, but there is room for improvement. Made in China. One more thing. There is a note card that comes with the grease gun that indicates that the Buyer should not return this product to Amazon if you don't like it, because it cost too much money to return it. If you make a good product, that functions as described, then there is no need to return it.

This is the best grease gun I've ever owned. It is very well thought out and has many nice features that make it a joy to use. First of all, it's very clean and doesn't leak grease all over everything. Just make sure you tighten up all the fittings before using it as they are loose so you can use either rigid or flexible attachments. I love the firm grip coated pistol grip handles and the rubber coated container tube which is about half the weight of the barrel on my other gun. There is a finger operated spring loaded air bleeder on the head assembly, but if you follow the well written instructions I doubt you'll use it a whole lot. Speaking of which, the instructions are excellent, written 100% in English, and are very easy to follow. This gun was very well protected for shipping, double boxed by the manufacturer then boxed up again at Amazon.com. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and just hope that it stands up to repeated use over the next few years ~ time will tell, but for now, it's a real joy to use!
