The comfort is amazing, and unlike the Danners, there’s plenty of room to replace the insole with a custom orthotic. As a first responder, I highly recommend for the comfort… I sent mine to leather luster to have the toe caps done, comfortable and professional all in one….

Comfortable and sturdy!

THE GOOD: I've had my pair for a few months, and they are holding up just great so far. The boots keep out dirt and water very well from what I've experienced, though I haven't stepped in water deeper than about ankle height yet. They took a week or so of light use to break in, but were not particularly uncomfortable during that time. After a month they felt as good as running shoes. They are also fairly comfortable to hike, climb, and even run in. They feel nice, look nice, and are quick to slip on or off. This boot is excellent, overall. THE BAD: The biggest complaint I have about these boots is that the online size chart is garbage. My foot is approximately an 11 US Males, but the first boot I ordered in that size was way too large. I returned the boot for a smaller size (10.5) free of charge, thanks to Amazon's excellent policy, and that boot was again too large. I recommend buying a full size smaller than your foot actually measures, as these boots are made with fairly spacious/tall interiors, which gave my heel a whole lot of lift and made the boots rather awkward to wear, initially. This problem was exacerbated when the boot wore in. I fixed it by stuffing another regular shoe's insole inside the boot, which works just fine. SUMMARY: Fantastic boot. Well made, especially for the price. Just make sure you buy a size smaller than your foot measures.

So far the boots are great. I had to initially return them to get a smaller size because these boots do round about 1/2 size bigger than you would normally order. Most of my boots are 11 1/2 or 12 but I had to return the 11 1/2 and order the 11 which fit great. The leather is really nice and the Boots are really light and compared to other boots in the same style. I'll update this if there's any issues with the boots over the next few months.

Very comfortable work boots. The side zip is great for quick on and off. Plenty of room to get your foot in and out quickly. (Perfect for firemen) This is my second pair. Wearing them everyday for work including for PT they lasted me 1 year. They look good, work good and are comfortable. Ps, the toes and heels have raised leather making it very easy to put a few layers of leather luster or your favorite polish on these. They really pop with that. Only negative is they do like to squeak on certain floors, but a lot of boots do so don't let that purturb you.

I've exclusively bought 511 boots until this purchase. I've been wearing these boots as a full time 911 EMT for about a year now and they hold up great. They definitely took some time to break in but have become very comfortable. Provide great ankle support during patient extrication. The boots take a great polish and have held up well. Tactical boots seem to fail in the zipper area but these so no signs of wear. Will 100% purchase another pair when these wear out. However I expect to get another 2 years out of these.

good boots, but after about 3 months of heavy use (which they should hold up to since they’re tactical boots) the insoles were destroyed. i’m an EMT and am on my feet all day multiple days a week. i had to purchase new insoles and cut them to fit. the insoles it came with were great and comfortable at first but fell apart quick. there’s no arch support, but the toe box is perfect for my wide feet. the actual boots themselves have held up super well against being scratched, stepped on, and generally manhandled. the toe box is still shiny with minimal scratches. the toe box is also really sturdy and has prevented my toes from being squished by heavy equipment, other people’s feet and the ambulance stretcher (many times). overall they’re decent boots but the insoles are not made to be walked on everyday.

Quality build boot! If your tired of the same old boots at your tactical shop, then these boots are what you want. Ive always wanted to wear a 8" zip side boot just always felt it hard to get used to. Well that changed once I got these boots. After a few work shifts(12's) I was accustomed to them and love them dearly now. Good quality zipper, also when you lace up the boot the leather is very giving almost contouring to your foot which gives your foot the feeling of "one" with your boot-the way it should feel! Temperature- after 12 hours your feet could run warm however the zip side helps if you need cooling(on your breaks) Highly recommend this boot if your tired of buying cheap build boots!

Las botas están de lujo, a la medida correcta, con buenos terminados. Son muy cómodas y anchas. Se pueden calzar con facilidad gracias al cierre y a las agujetas. Es de esperarse que sean algo pesadas pero no influye en su calidad.

Love these boots, as soon as I got them I ended up working a 20hr day and had no issues at all.

Not bad for Chinese made boots, comfortable, seem pretty solid, not a safety boot but I use them for work anyway and so far so good. Get them on sale , hard to justify paying full price for anything made in China.
