290 Strength Threadlocker, 10 mL Bottle, Green

I have been using Loctite 290 for many years. I really works to keep bolts securely in place even through significant vibratons. It is not quite like glue, because it is still possible to remove the bolt, or screw, when you need to remove it. It also works to secure other things such as the handle on my casement windows which is attached with a grooved metal-to-metal push on attachment.

Flows into cracks and crevices to bind well. Also used it to bond brass to steel.

Being the green it will wick into the threads after you set a screw where you want it. I had a few adjustment screws I used this on. Got the screw set where I needed it, added the loctite, haven't had any problems with those screws loosening up. I would purchase again.

Unlike other threadlocker products, Loctite 290 "green" works by penetrating into assembled fasteners by capillary action. This allows you to completely assemble your workpiece without worrying about a threadlocker setting before you have everything adjusted and torqued to the desired state. It's thin and runny, and seems to contain more volatile organics than other versions of Loctite. This is for metal-to-metal connections. Your fasteners must be clean and dry, and free of oil and grease. I am very pleased with the utility and performance of this product, and of the entire family of Loctite threadlockers. As noted by another reviewer, the illustration is incorrect. This is for a 10 ml bottle, which for a casual user like me will last for several years.

Worked great. This post application Loctite save a load of assembly problems. Assemble the item first then apply the loctite. You can make all the adjustments without being all covered with the thread locker. It also works good on non threaded items shafts and such.

Well this product is suppose to stick the metals or parts together and keep it from loosening from vibration. However, at this point I have not used it yet. Just received it yesterday. Highly recommend this seller because they were very much on time, as stated by Amazon. So far my level of satisfaction with Amazon is very good and products I have purchased.

A must for any DIY project, particularly automotive. Once forgot to use threadlocker on the rod end bolts of a Jag engine (3.8L) and, when torn apart, 290 Green had effectively sealed the nuts. Very effectively, very, very, very effectively. It is as aggressive (30-40lb-ft) as blue, often easier to use.
