Is this the same formula, scent and consistency sold in the 80s?

Yes it is. I was sceptical when I brought my first bottle last year but am delighted to say that my fears were allayed when I first opened it and ran some into my bath while it filled. That same amazing scent wafted around my bathroom and reminded me of the 80's when I used it to soak in whenever I could. So now I buy a bottle every year and enjoy it to the max!

Is there a difference between this one with the round spherical top and another one on Amazon with the cylindrical top? That one's cheaper.

This one is better for the shower. Its thicker and more concentrated and you dont waste nearly as much as the cylindrical top. It seems to smell stronger and reminds me of the original one i used in the 80s
