It works well, and has plenty of power for my fms 800mm Beaver, with more low rpm torque than the original motor, while allowing me to use a prop saver, and larger prop.

This is a great little motor at a good price but the motor mount is aluminum and bends easily

I will use this on a future plane. It was a little big for what I ordered it for.

I put this little motor through the paces with a 5 inch 3 blade 5435 propeller and was very pleased with the power and lift. I think I could have used a bigger prop but stuck with the 5 inch and opted for a 3 blade and just stuck with that. The motor was smooth and responsive as I expected on the bench and in flight it didn't disappoint. You will need to make sure you balance the prop on it which kind of goes without saying but I can't stress that enough for these tiny motors it makes a huge difference in performance and it's worth the effort and it will increase the longevity of the bearings in your motors.

I bought this motor for a 3d plane, which was a mistake given there was no info on performance. First, there were no accessories, no prop holders. This motor is the same size as one I already had, so I knew what the performance should be. It could only drive a 5 inch prop with a 3s battery without it screaming, not a 7 or 8 inch prop like every other motor of equal size and kv. It only produced 60% of expected thrust with an 8038 prop with a 2s lipo battery. Don't know if this was a defective motor or poor quality, but beware of buying motors without performance data included.

First one came in a small box. Great motor. Small, very powerful, well made, great looking 2nd one came in a poly bag. DOA. Stiff and had a dead connector, would only shake, not spin. Scratches and mounting screw marks. Probably a return that had been crashed. Should have been caught by vendor. Reason for 3 stars.

I like the flat form and additional spinner mounting screws
