How thick is the leather in ounces?

Hi, Our Leather Fabric Sheets are ~1.5MM THICK PREMIUM DISTRESSED BUFFALO LEATHER and weigh 9.5 ounces. Paul Moonster

Are the sheets as thick as your notebook covers?

Our leather sheets are ~1.5mm thick

Is this actual "buffalo" leather or cow leather?

Hi, Our Leather sheets are made from water buffalo leather. Thanks, Paul Moonster

Would these leather sheets work for stropping?

In my experience, stropping leather has a ribbed underside, and are typically longer than 12 inches and around 3mm thick (2x the thickness of these.) I personally wouldn't use this particular leather for stropping, but I can't imagine it being an impossibility. For those who do not know - stropping is the act of honing the edge of a straight razor. If you've ever seen a western that has a barber scene, you've seen them rubbing the razor across a long leather strap.
