Can someone please confirm if this protects the phone from hard drops ? Is it shatter proof ?

To protect from dropping, you need a case. Not a screen protector. But a case will not guarantee that it will not break

My original screen protector is starting to lift at the hinge. Is this a suitsble replacement?

So this protector is a lot more rubber like in texture. I've replaced my original with this and it worked fine for a couple weeks. Then lifted again. I find myself rubbing it back into the screen over and over day to day. Little frustrating but I think it's more of a design thing with the phone tbh. I just put up with it. Not the same quality of protector. But I'd rather something on the majority of my screen than nothing since it's easily ruined.
