An excellent shredder, compact and easy to use, its quiet and can take 9 sheets at a time, i got through a backlog of documents in no time at all. I would recommend this product.

Overall, decent shredder for a decent price. Way superior in terms of speed and number of sheets to my 20 year old Rexel, which eventually gave up the ghost. It's fast, it shreds a lot of sheets at the same time , probably 6-8 of variable thicknesses. Noise is what you might expect, it doesn't run long enough to be an issue. See through panel on bin is not that see through. Had issue with first one where the reverse switch was intermittent. Amazon sent a replacement, no quibbles. As with any shredder of my experience, you have to make sure the bin isn't so full that the shreddings "back up" into the cutting heads. One quibble is that if you do a lot of receipt shredding the paper is so flimsy you will get a build up inside the slot above the cutters of compressed paper. ( I think it's just the very thin paper that causes this). At which point you can't shred as no access to the cutters. My solution was, after unplugging, to pick out with a long thin implement. I had to also drench the paper with shredder oil a few times. Worked it all out in the end. But I now only shred a couple of receipts at a time and mix them with standard sheets of paper. And keep peering down the slot to be warned of problems before they get too bad!

The Fellowes Powershred LX50 is a solid, competitively priced choice for the home office. The cross-cut works a treat on A4 paper and it’s impressively quiet, too. It does struggle if you try to force more than five or six sheets through at once, and having to lift the head off the bin to empty it is a bit of a faff. Overall though, it’s a reliable, no-nonsense shredder for the money.

I've only used this for a couple of days. Light use shredding a couple of sheets of A4 paper with each pass, no staples so not giving it a hard time and can't comment of its longevity but it's gone through probably 200+ sheets so far without any blips, grinding noises or jams and doesn't get that warm at all even after a couple of mins constant use. Very easy to use and feels safe & solid. As shredders go, I think it looks pretty good. Delivery packaging is good & easy instructions. Overall I'm really happy with it for the money & it suits my light home-office use perfectly.

Awesome shredder! Just a heads up to make sure to buy shredding oil along with it and apply it every time you empty the bin to keep it running smoothly. Also, the plug isn’t the Australian type, so you’ll need a power adapter. Great value for the price!

WORST PRODUCT PURCHASED TILL DATE - NO WARRANTY CLAIMS AND AMAZON HAS BEEN OF NO HELP EITHER, STOPPED WORKING AFTER 3-4 USES. DISAPPOINTED IN BOTH THE PRODUCT AND AMAZON SERVICE.
