Reliable High Air Flow for One Year
This replacement diaphragm kit for metala air pumps is the best. I get just about exactly one year of service from each set. I run the pump 24 seven, about 8,600 hours. They are so easy to install that I don’t replace them until they fail, no need for preventive maintenance.

Easy Rebuild for Aqua Aire AA500
This kit worked perfectly with my Aqua Aire 500 compressor. I just followed the steps for any of the several videos on YouTube. This rebuild kit came with a replacement safety pin (screw). Fortunately my AA500 is newer model that uses a safety slide switch instead. I just slid the switch back into place after replacing the diaphragms and all worked great when powered back on. I was able to get over 4.5 years from the original diaphragms that came with my Aqua Aire. Hopefully these diaphragms last as long as the original. I will provide more feedback if these fail anytime soon. UPDATE: These worked 18 months before failing. That’s pretty typical for Texas where the heat can impact the life of these diaphragms. I ordered another set and rebuilt the aerator in 10 minutes. I wish these would have lasted as long as the OEM diaphragms, but this is still a cost effective replacement. A DIY rebuild can save more than a few hundred dollars versus having the septic crew to replace the aerator.
