WOW
Was I surprised when I opened the delivery. A real quality knife with a razer sharp blade.

Great knives!
I donโt think you can go wrong with any of Mercerโs knives. I own several, and have yet to be disappointed. They all perform exceptionally well, plus you canโt beat the price.

Handle is too large for a basic utility knife.
The good: blade is fine. Slices very well. Very sharp (been using daily for 3 weeks). The not-so-good: The handle is too large. It gets stuck pulling it out of the dish rack's silverware caddy - which results in the caddie falling off and dumping contents on the countertop...huge hassle. But if you're going to keep it in a block or on a magnetic holder, it's a fine knife.UPDATE - 05/26/2026: Ok, changed from one star (for the irritation of the silverware caddy on the dishrack falling off everytime I reached for the knife because it's handle was so big) to four stars.Knife is holding a super sharp edge and I actually like the larger handle. It's very comfortable. BTW - solved the silverware caddy issue by simply dedicating one whole square of the caddy to this knife...

Another Quality Product from Mercer
The usual high-quality you expect from Mercer. Came razor sharp and fits nicely in the hand for slicing smaller items that call for a serrated knife. Huge value for your hard-earned money. I have a few Mercer knives, and I can say the same of every one of them: high quality at a reasonable price.

cuts great
Very good weight, handle feels good, cuts great

Mercer makes good stuff.
Handy little knife. Need straight edge too ?
User
Bulky handle
This is knife has a decent blade but the handle is too large and chunky for a kitchen knife used in the home. Perhaps it would make a better commercial kitchen knife?

World cladd
I can't say enough about Mercer. I have almost 200 knives with some costing almost $200 each with tax and shipping. I returned THREE German made Zwilling because they were horribly crooked. Mercer knives are straight and sharp. Theyare used in restaurants and cooking schools for a reason. I wish I cook get my money back on the expensive knives. I have 60 or 70 Mercers. I love them. Never had a dull or crooked blade. Handles are always well made. When they dull I put them in the "need to be honed" bucket. When I fill the bucket I run them over a honing rod a few times and they're like new. Best value, excellent steel, acceptable handles. For $35 you have the 3 essential blades you need. For $100 you have a dream set with premium high carbon stainless. Mercer is world class.

Blade Snapped off at the Handle
Good knife, but the Blade Snapped off at the Handle after about 2-3 years of use. Submitted a claim to the manufacturer for a replacement under the Lifetime Warranty.
User
Excellent
I first bought the bread knife many months ago. I find the wavy edge very easy to cut bread. I bought the utility knife to use the wavy edge to cut tomatoes and soft fruits. It is larger than I expected: I thought the total length was 8 inches.

Got rusty
The stainless steel wasn't good quality. It got rusty and then broke in 2 pieces.
