Bentgo Stainless Steel Insulated Food Container, Leak-Proof, 19 fl oz

This is the third Thermos that I have tried for my second grader. The first one was fine, but I allowed it to get gross so I had to toss it, the second was too hard for him to open at school. THIS IS THE ONE! It's big - think wide, not tall. He can eat directly out of it, and it can fit two full sized corn dogs (without the sticks). Chicken Nuggets, Rice with meat, and Spaghetti are all winners in this thing.. My son reports that all meals are warm when he eats and he happily eats everything I put in it. This thing really freed him and me from the daily sandwich shackles. Another added bonus with its large mouth size is that I can fit my entire hand and washcloth in it for cleaning. So easy! Happy to report that if I have to buy another lunch thermos, this will be the one! EDIT: Wow. This company really came through for me. My son lost the inner venting O-ring at school. Not because it fell out, because he likes to pick at things. Totally his fault. I contacted Bentgo about this yesterday and they sent me a replacement QUICKLY, no extra charge! What service! Thanks, Bentgo!!! If you are still reading, just buy this one already. :)

very sturdy and kelps food hit and cold and not to heavy and looks sheer and clean and very stable and stays well and i’m not sure if it goes in the microwave i’ve never tried it.

I bought this to transport hot meals to work for lunch and it does a fantastic job. I was worried that it might be too small, but it's just the right size for me. It does keep my food warm. Some mentioned it leaking heat. It does leak some heat out of the top so I wouldn't put it near something you want to keep cold. It is hard for me to open. There is a handle on the top, but no handle anywhere on the body. So, it tends to twist together when you try to unscrew it. I've found along with pushing the release button that I have to hold the body between my legs to get the proper pressure to keep it from turning. There is a trick to getting it to screw closed correctly. I found that because my hot food is putting off steam, the lid doesn't always screw down correctly and would always pop out of the track.. What works is to screw the lid part way down, press the release button and then screw it down the rest of the way.

I bought this container again for the new school year because it has worked so well for my daughter. I have tried several lunch containers over the years, but this is the only one I keep coming back to. It helps keep her lunch fresh for hours, and it has held up very well to daily use. I used the gray one for about two years before deciding it was time to replace it. The old one still worked, but I wanted a new color. It is durable, easy to use, and perfect for school lunches. I would definitely buy it again.

For Full Review: Continue: *** BUYER BEWARE: Disappointed in this Product And I Rarely Use it Due To The Following: After 1 hour, This product only keeps food barely “tepid” which means: Less than warm. I’ve tried to preheat the container with boiling water (then emptying) prior to filling with oatmeal, soup, stew, etc. I’ve tried preheating in oven on lower temperature prior to filling with food ( then I wrap with kitchen towel for travel) to maintain internal heat— I’ve tried wrapping in foil for travel, nothing works! ***The best outcome is a barely warm meal EVEN if I put food in the container minutes before departure. ***ALSO- it is very difficult for me to open (even after pressing the release button on top of lid) let alone a child or elderly person. It is nice looking, BPA free, easy to hand wash— I did not place in dishwasher. Bentgo needs to start all over with this product!

Love Bentgo, love stainless steel, but this thing is HUGE. I read a bunch of reviews that users give their kids lunch in it, so I did not realize just how big it would be. I was looking for something a little more updated for their school lunch. My adult hands struggled to open it, plus the stainless made it very difficult to hold onto. It is almost twice the size of their current thermos. If you’re looking for something big, then this might be for you. However, I would not recommend for a child’s lunchbox. It has the perfect size, not too big and not too small ideal for packing a good portion of food. I use it for my son’s school, and it works very well. It keeps food warm for about 4 hours, which is great for making sure his lunch stays warm until mealtime. Good quality and very practical.

Great container. Make sure you preheat it (eg fill with hot water and let sit for several minutes) prior to putting hot food in - as it will stay hot longer if you do. Easy to wash.

Perfect size for adult. A little too big/high for a kids lunchbox. Love it though. Kept lunch warm. I always preheat with kettle water pour it out before i put hot food in

Stays warm for hours, but be sure not to over fill or it makes a mess.
