How large is each puzzle piece? Thinking about using the pieces in an Advent Calendar.

I gave it to my grandson as a gift. If I remember correctly, the pieces were about 2" by 2". It was a very nice and solid puzzle.

The size varies based on the shape of the piece. The basic size of each piece is close to 2" square. On pieces that have opposing knobs, however, the measurement from the outer edge of one knob to the outer edge of the other will be close to 3". I measured one specific piece that has knobs on all four sides, and it measures 2¾" X 3". But one corner piece that has holes on both connecting sides is slightly under 2" square.

The finished is approximately 8" x 11" and they come with a colored picture of the same size as reference.
