William Collins Arabian Nights

A varied section of choice morsels from Burton's Nights. Despite some complaints regarding the archaic vocabulary employed by Burton, it is still perfectly readable, although it is important to note this is not a volume aimed at children as it does feature more adult content. This is not explicit to a modern-day reader, although it was considered quite shocking by coy Victorians when originally published. The tales in this book are a tiny percentage of the stories translated by Burton for his extensive multi-volume collection but it gives the reader a taste of the further delights that await if they should seek after them.

Love the story, but wish I had ordered a book with bigger print.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. it's true that it doesn't include the Aladdin or Sinbad stories, but they weren't actually part of the original Arabian nights, so it makes sense. The book binding feels durable, the text size is pleasant - some other Collins books suffer from small text, which makes them hard to read. The paper is also pretty thick, so it wouldn't tear easily if you somehow dropped the book
