Stupid question but is the orentation based on hand holding the bow or hand pulling the string ? I would want to hold the bow with my right hand.

Hi. Not a stupid question at all. The bows handedness is based on the hand you draw the string back with. So if you hold the bow with your right hand and draw the string with your left hand you would order a Left hand version. You can choose either a left or right hand option, but the riser is symmetrical so that the bow can be used ambidextrously if you choose. You would just need to buy the opposite hand arrow rest and put it on the other side of the riser. We dont add bith rests because it just adds cost to the user and most people dont want to shoot it left and right.

What is the max draw weight

Our maximum poundage bow is a 55# at 28". As this is a modern longbow the draw weight will depend purely on which poundage you buy and how far you draw the bow back. The further you draw the bow back the higher the draw weight will be.The bow has a maximum draw length of 31".

What do the options stand for?

Left or right hand and the number are the poundage or weight of drawing the bow at 28" draw.
