WHAT! No cobalt chloride?! That just chaps my hide! I occasionally put cobalt sprinkles on my ice cream. What will I do now? Anyhow, this is a good product, these things do what they are supposed to, absorb moisture and it does it rather well. Fit anywhere including your pockets. Wonder if it would work as underarm deodorant? Anyhow, need something that keeps your sensitive items dry and can be reused by heating in the oven, then this is for you! Its reasonably priced and its fun to shake. Please don't overthink these things, its a simple device that does one thing, absorb moisture and help protect you electronics or other items. Ok, it does 2 things, but you know what I mean. :) Feed it!

I hadn't really considered that something like this would exist, but it seemed obvious as soon as I found it. I got these to store with sealed boxes of old photos that I keep in the garage or attic. They did a good job of quickly sucking all of the moisture out of the air when I failed to fully seal said boxes, and then they dried right out in the oven, per instructions. I expect them to do their job well for a long, long time, as long as I can remember to check on them every now and then.

These little things are great for removing humidity from a safe/closed in cabinet. I've bought and used these before. Once they get to the point of having too much moisture in them, you just bake them in the oven until the moisture is gone from inside of them - I think it is 300 degrees for 3 hours. I'll round all of them up and bake them at the same time, when that time comes. Worth having for pelican cases, safes, jewelry boxes, etc. to ensure the moisture has a place to call home, and not on your stuff that is being stored.

I bought to put inside a water tight, fire-proof document safe. I like the color change indicator. Very easy to tell once it has changed. My only complaint is that after recharging in the oven, I knocked it on the way out and it fell in the oven and the case came open. About half of the silica pellets fell everywhere. It took me a while to pick them all up. Be careful as the case is not sealed and prone to coming open once heated and expanded. Overall a great product, I plan to buy more.

Great for firearm & fishing reel storage. I've been using them for years. Just refresh them in the oven and they're good for another year.
