Works great fir sebhoreac dermatitis. It does smell but does the job. Will buy again. Great price too.

This is a wonderful non- steroid shampoo for scalp psoriasis. I used prescription steroid shampoos for three years with minimal results. One week after using this shampoo every other day for one week, my scalp was healed! I can wear dark shirts again. I don’t constantly scratch my head. Only problem is the odor of hot tar on my scalp. It’s pretty bad, but if you use a nice smelling conditioner afterward, it will help. My hair isn’t dried out either.

This stuff is incredible, just as good as Neutrogena T-Gel but at a more affordable price. I used this for 3 days and my flakes are gone. I can now use my nicely scented Old Spice shampoo without having to worry about the flakes returning anytime soon. I will use the gel about once every other week to make sure the flakes stay gone. It's nice to wear black shirts again and not stressing about flakes. 08/23 Update: Product still performing well, however after purchasing 4 bottles over the course of a year, I just received one that leaked inside it's plastic packing. Amazon is sending a replacement. Hopefully the company can figure out a better way to seal their product, because it seems based on other reviews, that this isn't uncommon.

When I realized Neutrogena had stopped making T-Gel, I started freaking out because it was the only shampoo that worked for my scalp condition. That is until I discovered True+ real coal tar shampoo and realized it does just as good a job for a lot less.

I really hope this review helps you find your answer: I have tried so many methods and products to deal with the granules (like sand) that form on my scalp and cause itching. Expensive salon products, moisturizing my scalp, letting it air dry, baking soda, apple cider vinegar…NOTHING worked, until my new dermatologist told me to try alternating 1 shampoo with coal tar for 3 weeks with another shampoo with salicylic acid for 3 weeks. True+Real has coal tar and appears to be very similar to Neutrogena’s T-Gel, but T+R has a higher concentration of coal tar. I’m still in my first 3-week session with True+Real, washing every 2-3 days. Wow! What a difference! I used to start getting sandy buildup by the evening when I wash in the morning. By day 3, I was an itchy wreck, with oily hair to boot. Now, my hair stays clean and shiny for 3 days and I kinda, sorta start to feel a little itching by that time. I’m sure if I shampooed every other day, there’d be minimal symptoms. Dermatologist said to wash every day - that’s not gonna happen, but I do wash/rinse/repeat and let the shampoo sit on my hair for the 2nd application while I do other “shower things.” So far, so good!! I’m eager to see what happens when I switch to the salicylic acid shampoo starting this weekend. Tips: 1. It does smell like monster truck tires, at first, but that scent dwindles at it dries. If you’re going somewhere and don’t want any trace of that scent, wash it the night before. 2. Do make sure to do 2 shampoo cycles, letting the shampoo sit 3-4 minutes on your hair during one of them. My hair stays clean so much longer!!) 3. BE CAREFUL not to get it in your eyes. It does sting, if you do, as packaging warns.

Se supone que es el concentrado pero tristemente no se acerca al de Neutrogena.

Muy buen producto, siento que ha ayudado bastante con mis problemas del cuero cabelludo tiene un olor raro pero imagino que por los componentes nada que moleste, es mejor que otros que me han costado mucho más dinero. Lo volvería a comprar
