Sturdy, and adjustable arm to hold handmade baby crib mobile

Overall the mobile is perfect. The only problem is that the pieces literally just slide together. There is no screws or anything keeping it that way. So when your little one gets to climbing or standing it’s definitely not safe bc of how unsturdy it is.

I bought to hang homemade nursery dreamer the part that attaches to the crib is very sturdy and the stick itself is strong it has with stood my child grabbing the dreamer to pull on to pull themself up without moving.

I bought this based off looks alone (and the fact that it came with a music box) and should have looked at the reviews first. All mobile mounts are not created equally, clearly. There were not instructions on how to properly put this together. It wasn’t terribly difficult after finding the picture on Amazon, but I still think there should have been SOME instruction included. Especially how they recommend to secure this to the crib, etc since it can easily be a safety risk if not done correctly. My biggest issue with this is that it’s straight up not secure. The pieces don’t fit together tightly so if anything bumps this, it falls apart. And if this is being used as intended… it’s over your baby’s face while they’re sleeping in the crib. The music box is heavy and not properly supported by the arm itself, and I do NOT want to chance this smacking my baby in the face. Also, in addition to it being a concern for hanging over the crib, it’s also not able to be very secured to the side of the crib either. So… there’s a serious risk of this falling from multiple areas of the product. It’s also a lot lower than I expected. I don’t have a long mobile, but with the music box attached to the arm and the mobile on… it will be within arms reach within the first couple months. Again, becoming a falling risk. It’s cute but not safe. I do not recommend.

This product definitely looks nice and overall seems of good quality, however I didn’t take into consideration that the part that attaches to the crib may need a flatter surface to really be able to tighten it well. My crib has circle spindles with a thicker top, and the mobile won’t screw in unless I attach it to the thinner flat side of the crib. It’s nice that there is fabric to protect the wood from scratching the crib, but I don’t really know how well this mobile would stay put even with the slightest bit of movement. I’m worried this won’t be a safe choice for a baby, which is why I will likely end up returning it because it’s not worth worrying about for the sake of something “looking pretty”. I’m not sure if there is a better solution out there, but I wish I would have read reviews better before buying. Disappointed this didn’t work out!
