AMAZING, very absorbent and no chemicals
I have been wanting to try these diapers for a while but they were more expensive than the typical Huggies or Luvs. I knew these had no chemicals, used organic cotton, etc. and were a lot better overall but we have been having trouble being able to afford these. Finally the time came where I was able to try them out. I love that they are eligible for Amazon Prime! That is a big plus! As far as the diaper goes, it kind of looks like the Dollar General diapers.. almost cheapish. I guess in lamest terms they are rather plain. They have a little design with a teddy bear but its really small. Not that that should really matter in terms of diaper performance but its just not what I am used to I guess, compared to Huggies, Pampers, or Luvs (which are more flashy). These things absorb SO WELL though. My daughter had been filling up her Luvs size 2 (She weighs 16 lbs) so quickly and it made her wake up in the middle of the night more often because she felt so wet. I tried one of these at night and let me tell ya it was great. She didn't even fill it up 100% but it felt so dry!! You know how if you fill up a diaper it feels really smushy, this did not feel very squishy like that and when I touched the diaper on the inside to see if it felt really wet, it did not. The material or whatever is in these diapers absorbs VERY well and the moisture is away from the baby's skin. My daughter would get little rashes and I finally realized it was because of her diapers not the wipes, cream, or what she ate. She could be in the same Bambo diaper all night and wake up with no rash. That is saying a lot! Like I said she is 16 lbs and we have the size 3 which seem kind of big but she will grow into it and it is not too big to where she has blow outs or anything. These diapers are phenomenal - the only down side is the price. I know they are manufactured in Denmark which contributes to the cost, as well as the organic cotton, etc. But it really is a bummer that they cost so much. I had a hard time letting myself get a pack of Huggies for $9 bucks or so. So $15 for 33 diapers is incredibly expensive but so worth it if you have the money. By far these are my favorite diapers and if we could afford to only use these diapers for my daughter, I would use these without hesitation. Bambo Nature - could you lower the price just a little? :)

Healthy, safe, and works well!
I really like these diapers, and have comfort in knowing they're safe for my baby. I initially started with pampers, which work great, but after researching and learning about the harmful chemicals in diapers, I knew I needed to change. After doing a lot of research, Bambo nature diapers were at the top of my list for healthiest, safest (disposal) diaper for my little girl. So I made the switch, and they are great! The material on the inside if the diaper (which will be against the baby's skin) is soft to touch, and very absorbant. These diapers can hold a lot of wet! It's good about wicking moisture away from the skin with wet diapers, and holds a good amount with soiled diapers. We've had a few instances of leaks with these diapers, only up the back. I think it depends on how much poo there is, and how tight or loose you put the diaper on. But it hasnt been too many times that it's leaked. We've never experienced leakage from the sides or front, just some out the back. But I imagine it would be the same with any diaper when there's that much poo. Never any issues with leakage from just wet diapers. My daughter can go a whole night without having to change the diaper, and no leaks. It's just super full in the morning! With being healthier with less chemicals, there isn't an odor absorber (so no masking any smells) and no color change when the diaper is wet, so you have to check the diaper the old fashion way (look inside). These diapers are a little more expensive, but the health of my baby is more important. I'm very happy with these diapers and wont be changing back to anything else.

Great product
Before our daughter's birth we did a lot of research into the diapers available on the market trying to find the right balance between product quality and price. Based on online reviews we had already decided we were going to use Bambo Nature diapers. When our daughter was born the hospital, of course, used Pampers and even though we wished to use Bambo Nature immediately we found that unfortunately the newborn size was too large for even a rather large baby (our daughter was 8 pounds 6 ounces at birth). So we had to continue to use Pampers until she weighed about 9 and a half pounds. While Pampers is a good product it was already starting to give our daughter the beginning of a diaper rash so we had to start applying Desitin. Once we were able to switch to Bambo Nature the diaper rash problems disappeared. Yes, we missed the wet strip indicator from the Pampers but that was a small inconvenience. Additionally we found very quickly that we could detect a wet diaper by simply touching it- it is heavier and there is no way one can mistake it for a dry diaper. The diaper is thinner than the Pampers but it contains leaks and blowouts very well. Our daughter is 3 months old now and as she starts to sleep for 5 hour stretches we do not need to wake her up just to change her diaper. It is also very soft and our daughter's skin appreciates it. Bambo Nature diapers are more expensive than Pampers, but we believe we made the right decision for our daughter. Ordering them through our monthly Amazon subscription has been easy and reliable.

Earth's Best, Up and Up
If you're looking for a decent eco-friendly diaper and you have a lot of money to burn, go ahead and get these, they're alright. We have tried no fewer than 8 brands of diapers in these first months of our first baby, and the Bambo diapers have performed well compared to most of the competition (Kirkland, Huggies, Earth's Best, Up and Up, etc). If you need the hypoallergenic qualities or would like to think that you're doing the earth a favor by using a diaper that says, "Nature" on the front, be my guest. The problem? At the price they're asking, these had better be nearly without fault, and that's just not the case. When push comes to shove, these diapers leaked when large poos happened, and couldn't contain the overnight liquid amounts without the outside getting damp. That might be forgivable if there were no diapers that could manage, but we have quite literally never had a Pampers diaper leak. There are other metrics you can use to define how good a diaper is, but I'm sorry: at the end of the day, I want to know if the diaper will contain the waste of my baby, and Bambo is only second-best at that task for twice the cost. Not good enough.

No rashes, no blowouts, super absorbent.
I read a lot of reviews saying the quality of these has deteriorated but having used them for a couple months now I can say that these are still the best diapers I have used, and I've gone through quite a few brands. I have to say that the more Eco-friendly "green" diapers are the way to go in general since the chlorine in your conventional brands seems to cause rashes when it becomes wet. Never had a single rash with any chlorine free diaper. That being said, Bambo is the best "green" diaper I have used in terms of fit, softness, and absorbency. I'll compare a few brands below: Earth's best: these were too square and papery for me. And if it matters their design is rather unappealing compared to the cute bear on Bambo. Bambo definitely fits better and molds better to baby's body. Honest: they are the cutest, but also papery, their new design doesn't fit as well, and they are more pricey. In my opinion the softness and comfort factor of Bambo makes it a better choice than honest. Naty: I liked the fit and design of Naty far better than Bambo, but Naty has the scratchiest material around the leg area. I noticed redness on my daughter every time I changed her out of these so I will recommend Bambo over these for their softness alone. In terms of absorbency, Bambo has been superior to all of the above. I am often surprised to see how dry it is when I take it off even though it is soaked. My baby's skin is always dry when I take it off, which allows me to feel comfortable letting her sleep in them all night. They do get a funny smell by morning when they're fully soaked but I don't think it's that big a deal given that they are super soft, haven't caused a single rash and feel so dry to the touch when taken off. I actually find that it is fine to be able to smell the urine when she pees so that I am always aware during the day that the diaper is wet and needs to be changed. Also the back of the diaper comes up quite high which is great for preventing blowouts. Haven't had a single blowout yet in these.

Finally a diaper for sensitive skin!
Update: After using these for almost a year I'm dropping these from 5 to 3 stars. We were able to clear little one's eczema and things were going well. But when we sized up on these diapers we began to have problems. Eczema began returning but only along the diaper line. I don't know if they changed formulas or what but both the green and the white packs of bambo now irritate his skin terribly. I grabbed a box of cloud island from Target because we needed to get him out of these asap and they have been working great for him - eczema cleared right up. I am giving these bambo a 3 star rating because they do fit well and they don't leak, so for a child with less sensitive skin they would probably still be a good option. Our 5 month old has eczema and very sensitive skin. Every diaper we've previously tried has either given him a diaper rash or made the eczema worse where it touches his skin. Pampers pure was the worst - looked like it burned his bottom! We tried several of the more natural options (babyganics, naty, andypandy) and these are by far our favorite. Great absorbency and leak protection. Nice and soft, and not at all flimsy feeling. And the best part of course is that they don't cause diaper rash or irritate his skin in any way! They even last overnight without leaks or rash! Definitely worth the price!

After Trial and Error, First Time Parents Found Their Go-To Brand
As first time parents, we received several different types of diapers from my husband's diaper party (man version of baby shower) and my baby shower. We have gotten Pampers (of course especially since hospitals send you home with them as well), Huggies, and some off brand types, but the ones we became most accustomed with are Pampers and Huggies. My baby did well with Pampers and here's what we loved about them: The blue strip indicator that appeared when our baby soiled the diaper (the CON to this is that you start to change the diaper more often then you really should. Sometimes you end up changing the baby sooner than he's ready because the blue strip just conditions you to change the diaper. "Blue strip? Oh! Time to change the baby!" When you do this he/she may not have been ready yet because he/she had to still poop. Because of the blue strip prompting a change, we've faced some more accidents than we would have liked. Anyway, we also liked the softness and flexibility of the material. What made us want to switch? The blue strip, though convenient, means more chemicals on the baby and we are a family that chooses to be environmentally conscious and also want to keep as much chemicals or unnatural components away from our baby as much as possible. We're not anal hippies, we're just informed. The next brand, Huggies. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WE LIKED ABOUT THEM. I knew from the start I wasn't going to like Huggies! Here's why: After three uses my baby had a reaction. The material feels like recycled cardboard mushed up with old newspaper which needless to say it's not soft at all! Moreoever, the front and back practically look THE SAME. I mean we're not stupid to not be able to tell the difference, but the front and back of the human anatomy are different people, so there should be some tailored fit don't ya think?! Huggies are not absorbant at all so the baby fusses almost right away for a change because it's so uncomfortable. Oh okay, wait, there IS ONE THING we like about the Huggies. It has a rim that goes up and around the baby's bottom to prevent any poop spilled up the back, but that's about all the benefit there is. Those up-the-back accidents only happen when the baby's bottom is held shut for when you're holding them wrong while theyre pooping anyway so those rims aren't super necessary. SO WHY DID WE SWITCH TO BAMBO NATURE AND WHY DO WE LOVE THEM?!! They're super soft and come with super cute and simple generic designs. No brand pushing agenda (peace out sesame street and disney). You can feel and see the quality of the material and we have had less diaper rash episodes with this diaper. The diapers are super stretchy and flexible so when you're wrapping it up with added dirty wipes and big messes to toss, the clasps will hold it as you wrap it all up into a ball. There aren't any indicators like a blue strip on whether there's a mess or not, but experienced parents will know when somethings going on down there or not without any visual indicators. So again, not super necessary. With the acception of Huggies that is; their material is so dang rough that you can't tell what the heck is going on inside there. Bambo Nature is easy to tell when there's a mess, but they're also extremely absorbant. It's kind of amazing. When our baby started to sleep through the night, we wouldn't know if the diaper was soiled until our baby woke up in the morning. We're still surprised how everything that happened through the night all held in the diaper without irritating our baby. So, should you give these diapers a try? Yes. Yes, indeed. Should you throw Huggies in the fire and never think twice about it? Yes. Yes, indeed.

Sooo worth the price!!!
I rarely write reviews on products, but since these diapers saved my baby's bum, I wanted to put in my two-cents for any parent out there with a baby who has: ULTRA SENSITIVE SKIN. Since birth, our baby boy has had suuuper sensitive skin. So sensitive, that a wet diaper on his skin for more than 4 hours (especially when he sleeps through the night) instantly results in a diaper rash. We think about a diaper rash, and he gets it. We tried a bunch of different diapers. We started with Pampers Swaddlers it gave him a mild rash. We switched to Huggies, and it made his rash worse. We tried Honest Diapers and it gave him a mild rash. We also tried Luvs and Seventh Generation. Finally, after reading reviews, I ordered a pack of these diapers, and overnight, his rash cleared and got better! Curious, I took the two diapers that gave him the least amount of rash: Pampers and Honest and did a little experiment to compare them to Bambo. Granted, this experiment might not have been the best/most conclusive, but it satisfied my curiosity. I filled 3/4 of a measuring cup with water and added food coloring. I poured 3/4ths cup of the colored water in each of the 3 diapers: Pampers, Honest and Bambo and waited for the 3 diapers to absorb the liquid (5 minutes). I then took 3 coffee filters and laid the filters on the diapers where the liquid was poured. I placed a book that weighed about the same over the filters on the diapers and waited for about 10 minutes. When I looked at the filters, later on, the Bambo filter had significantly less color on it than the other two. The other two were about the same. This diaper absorbed a lot more of the liquid and kept it away from the surface. (I didn't have time to take pictures; it was difficult enough to do this experiment with a wiggly 3 month old). The CONS: 1.) Runs large. We had to fold down the waistband on the front. 2.) No wetness indicator (I am okay with that; no extra chemicals needed to tell me if baby is wet or not.) I would definitely recommend this diaper!

Hold a lot
These are great and hold a lot. Can get away without doing a change early hours before sunrise. Was previously using Natty nature nappies size 1 but found these too big as they would leak, particularly up the back and sides. Found these which go up to a smaller weight of 9 lbs. So fit better. Whereas Natty nature size 1 goes up to 11lbs. So for anyone getting leaks or problems it's likely that this size is not quite the right size. Try a different size or brand maybe. Our little one is quite small so the standard size 1 in another brand was too big. They fit a lot better especially around the legs. The front band has a picture of a small teddy. I use that as a marker for pulling the sticky tabs round and in place. Almost wrap it around more than half his body to secure it but it works. Plus I'm weary of all the chemicals used on nappies and in production, including what goes into landfill. Especially when it's against their delicate skin. These being more eco friendly is a bonus. I'll always stick to the more eco ones like these.

Good fit for newborns
Perfect size for a newborn. Mine are late preterm babies and these diapers fit them really well. Absorbency is quite good, stays dry for 6 hrs easily. I am happy with the purchase slightly overpriced than other brands but justifies the hike
