Shortly before the Soviet revolution of 1917, Lenin wrote Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism . Distilling Karl Marx's theories, and giving detailed economic figures, he shows how capital becomes more concentrated and more powerful. Capitalism leads unavoidably to monopolies and imperialism, where capitalists in wealthy countries divide the world up among themselves in order to produce "superprofits" via colonialism, which continues to the modern day via financial colonialism. As Lenin says, without this fundamental knowledge, "it will be impossible to understand and appraise modern war and modern politics." Review: Good Quality/ Good Price - A modern and clean edition of the classic "Imperialism the Highest Stage of Capitalism". Ordered the book for a college class and I saved quite some money compared to other editions. The book includes all the tables and graphs. The front and back covers are made of thick glossy paper (conventional soft-cover material). The inside pages are of excellent quality for the price. I've had the book for several months and it has suffered little damage. Overall, would recommend! Review: Lots of statistics from a readers point of view - Clearly eye opening in terms of present day finance capital movement, great emphasis was placed on industrization however little mention of influencers such as A. Carnegie or J Pierpont morgan, a bit centralized as government systems seemed curtained by big industries, All in all imperialism is ultra privatization of globalized capital hence monopolies, trusts an cartels being formed. P.s is it grow or grew? #V.I.Lenin

Where did he get it wrong? No where
We get to see Lenin describing capitalism over a century ago and see that all the details he makes about concertation of wealth and the monopolization of the economy have since gotten significantly worse.

Defends capitalism
Iโve never heard somebody defend why I love the state so much and that we should continue with our monetary means to be happier

Very interesting
Although I do not agree with socialism, this is a great insight into how capitalism is most definitely a parasitic definition of humanity. The only way capitalism can continue is through conquest.

Another great book
This is a great read the book is mid-1800 about how big companies became monopolies by legal and illegal paths they started to acquire a variety of productive and commercial branches, which eventually will acquire not only every branch of production but all the sectors that were related to it, from the production of raw materials to transportation and marketing. They were conglomerates that Lenin called the Trust. Similar to what Amazon and Facebook(Meta) do acquire any competitive market and consolidate a whole industry.

Good edited and interesting book about imperialism & capitalism at a competitive price
Review of the book: "Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism by Lenin": - Sizes of the book: 21.5 cm by 14 cm; thickness: 1 cm. - Paperback edition with a satin finish cover and a well-bound book: the pages are well attached together. - 128 pages in light cream color of a good gsm (= grams per square meter, unit defining the thickness of a paper) paper. - Fonts: medium small with a thin sharp impression. Overall, the book is well edited and good quality print: the fonts should have been slightly bigger and darker. Happy to have received this book at a competitive price, I thank the seller and Amazon to make available this title.
