While the original connectors are great, these are so much more worth it even if the connection is not exposed to the elements. I find these stronger and more willing to avoid any one accidentally pulling the crimp out when working around the splice compared to the not self sealing. This is my first use of this exact brand, but they are just as consistent as others I have used in the past and a quick torch or heat gun they shrink properly and easily. Worthwhile purchase for the price.

This was a great deal. The product worked flawlessly. I mean, how can you screw up a heat shrink connector? Now I have butt connectors for the rest of my life, compared to going to the store and buying 3-4 pieces at a time for 5-6 bucks at a time. 100 of them will last forever.

Awesome little things; if the crimp doesn't work, the heatshrink should---if the heatshrink doesn't, the hot glue will. Really gotta like the redundancies built into this otherwise simple wire connector, they work great in a pinch.

Why ever use any other type. Love these. Crimp, heat, shrink and seal. no real need for shrink tubing, keeps water and air out to corrode the connection. All the common size in one convenient bag, just buy more of the size you use up and a heavy duty clear zip lock the bag, no more crazy plastic containers that take up space and fall apart. Got to be one of the best purchases yet to keep my organized in the garage.

Great product. Slightly more money, but well worth it as they function without flaw.

First time trying this type of connector and love them! Once I figured out the right amount of crimping after the first couple, they work great! The trick is not to over crimp and score/break the outer shell, otherwise when you heat them they will split open where they were marked. Another point, make sure to use a heat gun and heat steadily, just don't blast it with max heat (which will also cause them to split or shrink too fast). I love the fact that now I don't need to use separate heat shrink tubes to seal the connection.

I wish I would have found these sooner. Inside crimp tube is tapered to allow wires to slide in easier. The shrink material doesn't get pierced when crimping, even with my standard wire strippers (the cheap electrical pliers). It shrinks, seals, crimps, and connects. Incredible improvement over any other way to connect wires.

These are great wire connectors with shrink tube capability on them and you can run shrink tube over the top of these once you shrink tube them

They are solid (without the seam in the steel). This makes for a better connection. Good quality heat shrink too. I was surprised how good these are.

Love these products. Buy them all the time for use on my tractor trailer where I need weather proof connections. Just make sure you have the proper crimper so you don’t damage the coating
