I found these helmets on Amazon last year. They appeared to be really cool and perfect for daily commuting. But, I was skeptical. I have been cycling for over 20 years. I have raced various disciplines and I use the bike as a daily commuter. I live in busy metropolitan city, so safety and being seen is key. I felt like this helmet would be a great addition to my safety on the bike (particularly the turning signals). But, I wanted to watch the reviews before I invested. After monitoring the reviews for a year and noticing very little negative feedback, I had to give it a try. I have been using the Lumos Ultra for a month now, and I am very impressed. It's easy to use, I love the ability to customize the configurations and the app is user friendly. I have even started using my Ultra on training rides where city miles are involved. I am very pleased with the purchase and I recommend.*I gave four stars to the weight. However, that is an insignificant critique. I use a small lightweight helmet light on some mountain bike rides and it makes the helmet much heavier than my Ultra.

This was worth the money for me because, it takes the place of a bike head / taillight. The helmet even comes equipped with turn signals.
