Great summer hack
I've lived in the southern US for a few years now and every summer it's a nightmare. I've bought blackout blinds, curtains, reflectix, insulation installed in windows. While all of those work great in partnership with this. I'd say this should be the first step. The purpose of it is to reduce the sun heat/glare before it gets to your glass and inside your house. Has definitely helped with reducing indoor temperature. I'm not sure if I'll still like it in the other 3 seasons for the total of 4 months that we have those, but in the summer it's working great. The look of it installed kind of creates a gloomy day when the sun isn't hitting it. But being able to have curtains and blinds open in the summer and not make it a dark cave in the summer is a great time to be had. I would highly recommend this

Good stuff! I have over 200 square feet of windows and the majority of them face east and west. When the sun is coming up in the morning and down in the evening, it’s pretty intense on my house that has very little shading. On a sunny day my window sill will hit 100+ degrees and with these shades installed outside the window with a half inch space between them, temps are in the 78 degree range. Substantial drop. The do reduce natural sunlight and that’s what I was after as well as temp drops. The material is of good quality and easy to work with. I made frames for all my crank out windows and the windows are still fully functional. I personally think they look better with the screens on them than without. If you are looking to cut energy bills created by intense sun and heat, these will do the trick.

J'ai posé une section de cet ecran sur la fenetre de ma porte d'entrée avant pour limiter la chaleur qui entre par la et ça fonctionne à merveille ,moi je l'ai coleer avec du tape double face car je n'ai pas de screen dans cette fenêtre bien contente de mon achat!
