Beautiful Sharp Knife
Amazing beautiful knife that has held up it's sharp edge over time. The overall knife is amazing and buying this out of Amazon Japan for some reason made it much cheaper than the standard cost.

Extremely sharp
Will keep the review short - I have sliced through chicken bones with this even though that’s not it’s purpose and that’s not it’s for. If you are not careful it will cut the finger all the way through. I have other miyabi knives too but this one is sharper than others for some reason idk why! I have the japanese version and not US version don’t know if they have any difference but mine was little cheaper so it was definitely worth the money. I have used almost everyday to make Indian, Italian, mexican, American food. Never got any problem.

Beautiful knife
What can I say? Masterfully made and a pleasure to use in the kitchen. Everyone needs one of these on their knife block.

A well-made Japanese knife made by a top Japanese knife Company
Miyabi knives are made by one of the best Japanese knife companies. I have researched most of the Japanese knife makers out of Japan in order to make a well thought out decision encompassing my personal needs, the steel components used in making the knife; how it was hand forged; Damascus layering; the cost of the knife, as well as the manufacturers' reputation, etc. I have now purchased two specific types of Miyabi knives to fulfill my kitchen needs. They are like fine art that should be handed down in one's family.

The knife I reach for 9 out of 10 times.
I *LOVE* the Miyabi line of kitchen knives - sharp as a razor, keeps its edge better than any other knife I own. I cook daily, so it seemed reasonable for me to treat myself to a very fancy chef knife. The difference in quality between this and my German steel knives is much more noticeable than you would think. Cuts vegetables paper thin with speed and ease. Pick up a decent ceramic honing rod and it will stay sharp as a razor with very little effort.

Great knife -- when on sale
I have two of these, the santoku and chef's knife. The handle on the chef's knife is a beautiful pattern; the santoku handle not so much. However, they both work really well and look great. The only problem is the price. You can get better handmade knives for the same price. However, these knives go on sale once or twice a year, so if you want one just wait and buy it then.

Professional grade plus sushi knife
This knife is crazy sharp. The blade will cut you if you do not respect it. The feel in your hand is fantastic. It will cut a soft tomato without depressing the skin at all. I love this knife.

Great knife worth the high price
I did a lot of research before I got this knife. It came down to miyabi and shun. It is a beautiful thing to look at and is very sharp. It's a joy to use. I have already ordered the pairing knife.

Sprachlos
Ich bin Messerliebhaber. Ich wollte mir etwas gönnen und habe mir dieses Messer bestellt. Was soll man sagen????? Eines der schönsten Messer, das ich je gesehen habe. Scharf wie eine Rasierklinge (WAHNSINN). Kein Vergleich zu den Shuns. Ist natürlich auch entsprechend teurer. Aber jeden CENT wert. TOP TOP TOP TOP TOP. Das Material ist auch hochwertiger und langlebiger. Einfach mal googeln.

incredible
the most beautiful knife in my collection. Too gorgeous to use. The handle 10/10, the blade is far superior to other Miyabi as this actually looks like layering with small imperfections to know its hand made. Chamfering and grinding to the spine and choil. Razor sharp . Thinking to mount as a presentation knife. picture does not do this justice.
