Good quality thread quage
The item is very useful. It took me a bit of time to understand what the units are on each side. This is what i figured out: On the site that says "Metrish" the numbers correspond to the pitch between threads in mm (the distance between two threads as is usually reported in the metric system. On the site what says "Withworth" it is referring to the number as in Threads per Inch (4G means 4 threads per inch). Not sure why it has the G, but this is what i figured out. Hopefully this helps someone else.

Great Thread Pitch Gauge !
I wish that I had bought this Thread Gauge, sooner - I had to guess what the Metric Thread Pitch was on a lathe I was working on - so I could make a Thread Adapter for a new Chuck - And I guessed wrong and ordered the wrong size Metric thread tap. Now, I will not have to guess anymore. I like it that the lettering on the Gauge Inserts are stamped on and not just printed on - they will not wear off. And that the thread gauge is made of stainless steel. I liked this gauge so much, that I just ordered another one - to give to my grandson for his workshop.
