An efficient heater with many reservations.
This is the second heater purchased, the first one to arrive was received only in the maker's packaging, and consequently due to poor handling arrived with the contents damaged, it was returned. The second arrived under similar circumstances but fortunately arrived undamaged. Upon inspection there was a rattle from inside which on investigation proved to be a loose nut, and the screw from which it supposedly came from was nowhere to be found and had to be replaced. In order to replace this screw, the heater had to be partially disassembled, and as the metal from which it was made was rather thin, the screws holding it together had been overtightened on factory assembly and had consequently stripped their threads. The earth bonding, insulation and heat resistant wiring appears to be OK. It is recommended that the heater be thoroughly inspected before use by a qualified electrician and installed well out of the reach of children or those with impairments as the front grille has apertures through which fingers can easily be passed with the possibility of injury. It will never pass British design safety standards, however if one is prepared to overlook the above defects, the heater is a good looking unit and gives a good heat with the two 'on' heat settings, and is quite adequate for my 16sq foot bathroom.

Why is this designed as it is?
The screws that you're meant to use to fix it to the wall are virtually inaccessible unless you take it apart in a way it's not meant to be taken apart. Same, to a lesser degree, with the screws that attach the cover of the connection box. So make sure you're really good at DIY before buying this. I mean REALLY good.Note: instructions say it has to be at least 1.8 metres from the floor and at least 0.7 metres from the ceiling. So you need 2.5 metres. That's more than 8 ft 2 ins. That's more headroom than most modern bathrooms. So they're marketing a bathroom heater that doesn't fit in most bathrooms. Not sure I believe that, but make up your own mind.
