Quick fix
I have a Sonos playbase which only had an optical port for the sound input. For some reason my TV had a problem with its port and I did not want just give up my Sonos especially when it’s worth over £600 when I got it. Looked around and saw this on YouTube. I ordered and installed easily. I have had this months now and had no issues. Picture & sound are on point.

Perfect for my situation
I have an old Projector I have decided to use for media and annoyingly it hasn’t got an audio out but does have HDMI so I when using the projector with my mini Sky box, I had no sound. I decided to give this a go and it did the trick perfectly. It took me all of 3 minutes to get set up and working and has never failed me yet. The build quality is very good and the item comes with a power cable to get you going, although no USB power plug so keep that in mind. Overall a perfect device and fixes my issue. If you are in a similar situation, this is the device for you. Please note, my projector is HD only so I have no idea if 3D or 4K work.

Pretty good
Almost an excellent product. It definitely solves the problem I had, of wanting to connect a few games consoles to two different TVs. However, there are a few sound glitches. When one input is sent to two outputs, sound only gets sent to one TV. When two separate inputs are used, often there is no sound on output A. The fix for this seems to be that you need to set both outputs to the same input, then switch output B to another input. But sometimes sound on output B stutters if A and B have different inputs. Also, note this does not support Netflix or Fire TV 4K, only works with YouTube or something which isn't encrypted.

No arc bypass
Bought this to split HDMI to 2tv’s said it worked with ARC but when I installed it was very good picture and sound but the remote control wouldn’t work as this does not have ARC bypass

A nifty device. Well made and affordable.
After purchasing a Blue Ray DVD player to pair up with my new computer HD monitor, I realised that I had no sound output either from the DVD player or the monitor. This is where the splitter steps in and does its magic. It has worked perfectly so far. It is nicely made, solid with a brushed metal finish, is easy to use and does not require additional current in my own configuration. I would highly recommend this product.

Certainly not worth the money, primarily down to a cheap and nasty remote...with poor customer service!
When you order something which is one of the most expensive of its type on Amazon you expect it to be of a certain standard. Although the build quality of the switch itself is very good, the same certainly cannot be said for the remote control. Overall I would make the following points: The remote is cheap and nasty, with some buttons failing to operate after only a couple of weeks of use (which basically means that I now have to change the input settings on the unit's front panel). The Picture in Picture facility does not scale up for a large screen TVs so that facility is totally useless. The switch is quite slow to respond. Not everyone will be affected by this but in my case the IR remote worked on the same frequency as my stereo, so even when it was working, every time I operated the HDMI switch, my stereo would turn itself off...very annoying! Vie email the seller asked me to report any issues which I subsequently did, asking for at least one replacement remote. They apologies and said they would get back to me...which they haven't! I feel I have now given sufficient time for them to respond so I am now writing an honest and unbiased review based on my own experience of the HDMI switch and the seller's customer service.

Very small and tidy unit - works perfectly.
Replaced a more simple version that died after 3+ years. This unit is smaller and neater. I bought a Miro USB power plug from a Raspberry Pi to power it. Audio is perfect with no interference. I have put a tiny dot of blu-tak on the LED to tone down the light from it in a dark room behind the TV.

The device is metal and appears to be solidly made ...
The device is metal and appears to be solidly made. The video splits well and transitions well. I don't have a 4K TV, but it does 1080p 60hz perfectly. The issue is with the Toslink / SPDIF separation from the HDMI. It works on Channel 1 but not any of the other channels. I've tried changing the HDMI cable for a newer 2.0 cable and that didn't work. I tried switching the audio source on channel 1 (AppleTV) to channel 2 and the other device (FireTV) to Channel 1 and still only channel 1 worked. So the issue is not that it doesn't work with an AppleTV or FireTV, both work on channel one, but but the optical out (e.g. Toslink / SPDIF) does not work across the channels which is the primary reason I got this device.

The 6x2 video matrix switcher offers very good value from a technical standpoint. It works as expected and provides excellent video picture quality, as other reviews suggest. The price point is very good. However, I will focus on a key issue for anyone who purchases a matrix switcher. Normally the switcher is some distance away from the viewer. This requires the use of a remote to switch the video inputs and outputs. This unit has a remote, but it is worthless. It has a range of less, than 1 meter, meaning you must stand next to the unit to use the remote. It is useless. Changing batteries did not help. Contacting customer service for the vendor was futile. They were totally uninterested in responding satisfactorily, and indeed ignored most communications. This suggests the warranty is likely worthless and the product will not be supported correctly. A pity, as the unit does work without the remote. However, the lack of vendor customer support makes its good points very suspect. I am unable to give this product or this vendor a satisfactory recommendation as a result. =============================== REVISED 1 JUNE 2017 The vendor provided an updated remote, which solved the problem. As a result I have raised the rating to five stars. The new remote has a range in excess of 5m and works perfectly. As a result all required functions of the matrix switcher work as expected. The matrix switcher continues to provide excellent switching quality between six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs. I use all outputs and inputs and all work as expected. The metal case is extremely sturdy with a slim silhouette that compliments any installation. I am now totally pleased with this product and the quality of customer service, which has been very responsive going forward, especially Hanna of the company's CS department. I can now recommend this unit without reservation for its superb quality, price, and performance metrics.

This is an amazing little piece of tech. Being that I'm almost deaf, I have to rely on my headphones to hear anything from the TV. This is complicated by the fact that I have a home these system. Most systems do not have an optical audio out, and most TV's don't allow simultaneous output to two sources. This little guy allows you to take an HDMI feed from the receiver and split the audio out from it and output it via optical audio or 3.5 mm Jack. It will then allow up to a 4k 30hz HDMI signal back to the TV. The result is a true 4k picture on the screen, digital audio coming out the home theater for my wife to enjoy, and digital audio coming out the headphones for me to enjoy. As an added bonus, I can keep the AV receiver turned off, still have a picture on the TV, and hear from my headphones when it's just me watching... So overall if you need headphones to enjoy byour TV like me, or if you need to power two sets of speakers like say your TV area and and an outdoor area this little guy will be a very easy way to get that done. Overall the build quality seemed top notch, the unit is a bit on the heavy side. However they do include all the necessary cables, However you will need to supply a USB port for power ( most smart TVs have USB ports available, and I think anyone with a smart phone has at least one USB power brick laying around collecting dust..) so that shouldn't be too big of an obstacle. Other than that, connect the output from your home theater (HDMI) to this guy and connect the output (HDMI) to your TV and the digital audio to your headphones, speakers, really anything that you want to output audio that uses SPDIF connections. Connect up the USB power and thats it! After just enjoy, there is really no further set up needed. There is a switch on the box to format the audio both in and out for different surround sound configurations. However I recommend keeping it on pass through as this will require no further set up.
