Works Great!
-Revised Review- I contacted Mueller and they were super helpful. They sent me a replacement and I could instantly tell it sounded better. The new device has been very consistent. It looks like first one I got was defective. Based on my new experience I’m now very happy with the grinder. -Initial Review- Initially I thought this was great, super easy, super quick, but over about a week of use the grind regardless of setting seems to become ultra fine. Performance is very unpredictable and unreliable. This has happened repeatedly, tired cleaning etc. The only way I’ve found to make use of the unit is to set it at the coarsest setting, and by the end of the week when it’s clogging my espresso maker, try cleaning and messing with the grind settings until I can get it to the coarsest and then plan to repeat. Hopefully my unit is defective (I’m contacting the manufacturer), but for now I would not recommend this grinder. I’ll revise if I hear back from Mueller.

Good product
After reading many reviews on this product I can say I agree with a few of them. First and foremost the noise level of it is a lot louder then expected, but that is comparing it to my $10 dollar grinder that I am replacing it with. Another notable annoyance is the accumulation of grinds when removing dispenser so many times that collect at the base. In my opinion those are minor nuances compared to what you get in return. I have mine dialed in perfect for my French press, the grinds are consistent compressing the plunger on my press had gotten a lot easier. Since the grounds are consistent I also don’t get as much coffee dust at the bottom of my coffee when finished. I like that it is compact in size yet still has a small hopper. I am about to get about 3 cycles before I have to fill it up again. Because of the consistency and compact size I would recommend this unit. If noise is an issue I may reconsider.

Pretty good, but there is room for improvement
I'll start with the things I like: this unit has exception fit and finish quality and the dials and buttons have an excellent tactile feel. The motor has a very clear, quality sound to it even when it's grinding. My issues with the unit are that it doesn't necessarily provide a consistent grind. Even on course settings, the grinder produces a fair amount of finely ground powder. Some coffee grinds tend to leak out after every grind, but you can just put the container back in place over top of them and nobody will see them (if you don't feel like cleaning them up every time. No grinds find their way to the counter top. The bin has a lot of static cling, but you can shake most of the grinds out with the lid on so it's not too terribly messy, but if you're sweeping the rest of the grinds out, you will spill some. Overall, this is a good, budget grinder after two months of daily use.

Magnetic coarseness adjustment comes loose and makes nothing but large chunks of beans, DO NOT BUY
Got this to grind close to espresso fineness for a moka pot. Inside the bin is some sort of plastic piece with 3 fins and a magnetic catch on the bottom to hold it in place. After a few rounds this area becomes clogged with fine coffee grounds and the magnets stop working. This causes the piece to come loose as you are feeding the beans into it, regardless of setting. When it comes loose you get nothing but large chunks from now on, no matter what setting you place it on. It also has a problem feeding the beans from the hopper at that point, because the plastic piece is blocking them instead of funneling them so you have to shake the machine or tap it, which causes the plastic to come loose again. USELESS JUNK, unless you like wasting your coffee beans. The plastic used for the catch basin is extremely prone to static and therefore makes a hellish mess no matter how careful you are. Removing the coffee from it leaves the counter or your hands or both covered in the few bits of fine ground you manage to get out of it. Spend your money wisely.

Great quality product
I've had this for several months now and it still works like new. I even accidentally discarded the cleaning brushes and it's been fine without. Works fast and it's usually done grinding by the time I get the water measured.

This machine makes a mess
There is nothing wrong with the mechanics of the grinder, but it wrecks my kitchen every morning. The vessel that captures the ground coffee actually spews grounds as it goes. Then, there’s a whole lot more on my the counter when you pull it out to move to the coffee maker. Curiously, this vessel is a rectangle and nearly all coffee makers have round baskets. Guess what that means? More mess. The lid let’s loose another torrent of grounds and there’s no way to not spill some while aiming for the round filter basket. My coffee maker needs a deep clean after just two weeks and my white counter tops are a tragic mess every day. Again, love the grind but the ongoing mess is frustrating and untenable.

Quality, affordable, slim
I bought this little guy to replace my fancy expensive burr grinder (which broke within 6 months). I wish I had bought this one first. It's a nice slim size and it's nicely constructed. The dials are very sturdy (especially compared to my old expensive machine), the burr grinder is very easy to attach and reattach for cleaning. The top lid is a little tricky to get on but I think it's because it snaps in and I keep wanting to slide it. Noise level is definitely lower compared to other machines (but again it is a coffee grinder...). I make turkish coffee and the extra fine grind is *chefs kiss*. Very happy with this little guy!

This product clearly was never used by its creators.
I'm confident in saying the people who designed this product did not use it before launch. It doesn't seem like there is any support in the way of replacement parts either. There are several aspects of it which are frankly terrible design choices from the users perspective. The most important is the way it dumps grounds. This grinder attempts to tell gravity to screw off and dumps grounds from the side. The result of this is a massive mess every time you try to use it. Next time don't fight gravity. The other user interface that is difficult is the cover for the beans. Every aspect of the cover looks and feels like it should be intuitive and slide over or do one of the one end in first click and snaps. No, it has to be put down exactly straight without very good locating features. I have never seen a cover quite as unique as this one. Unique is not a compliment when it comes to user interfaces by the way. Because I had so much trouble with the cover I ended up breaking the most important feature on the machine, which is the tab that goes into a slot which presses a button and allows the grinder to work. That's my own fault, I got impatient when trying to figure out this cover and broke that piece however, I can't for the life of me find a source of replacement parts. If I hadn't broken the cover something else would need replacing eventually, without a good source of them they are just asking to sell you one thing and then never talk to you again. I will say that this grinder does grind beans, and has several nice features relating to the amount and size of the grind. I plan to purchase a different grinder entirely if I can't track down a cover. If it makes my review any more reliable, I am a mechanical design engineer by trade who just wants a cup of coffee.
