Install was fairly easy. Pictures in instructions pretty dark. Hardest part was installing blind nut

Amazing service
Super easy to install and the product works great. More importantly the customer service is wonderful. My strut broke 4 months after I purchased it, through no fault of its own, and I planned on purchasing another kit. I noticed the warranty said 1 year so I thought I’ll reach out and see. I sent 1 email with my order invoice, and a picture of the broken shock. They never asked what happened just for my shipping info and promptly sent me a whole kit, not just the broke strut.

Easy install. May need minor adjustment.
This was an easy install. It’s a great addition to my truck. A sensible extra that addresses safety and wear and tear on the tail gate. Instruction were good. Parts were ok. I did need to adjust the bored opening on the lower mounting plate. Five extra minutes to set up a drill and clamp a backer board to the tailgate to turn that round hole into an oval. I wouldn’t even take a star off for that because the product works well and you’ll be satisfied when you’re done.

Easy to install amd works very nicely.

Does a good job
Easy to install and fits great. The tailgate doesn’t come crashing down anymore! However, it still falls fast for about 40% of the top part and then the strut catches and slowly lowers.

Just ok
The installation bolt and nut are very cheap and stripped almost immediately. Couldn't finish installation properly. Edit: Contacted company. They sent me a replacement unit. Installation was perfect this time and product works great

LLEGO INCOMPLETO , FALTO EL ESPACIADOR QUE SE INSERTA EN LA BOTELLA DE AGUA.
Escribi perfectamente que la pieza es para una GMC 2013 y en la descripcion dice que es para 2013 entre otros modelos de ano pero no le quedo , ya no quiero regresarla porque es mucho lio andar en paqueterias y no se si se va a regresar el dinero.

Great customer service
Great product! No more tailgate slamming me in the arm! I initially installed the unit on the wrong side of the tailgate. Couldn't get one of the nuts out of the tailgate though to rectify the problem. I contacted the company to get another nut. They couldn't supply one as they are all packaged units so they sent me a whole new unit! Beyond grateful for the great customer service. Thank you

Out tailgate assist shock
If you never done this replacement before, it takes a little time to make sure you do it right. Once it was installed according to directions it works just fine the way it should
