Sturdy, quality construction
I was in the market for a ceiling TV mount which extended upto 48" from the ceiling. I finally chose this as it said it would go upto 60". Though it was packaged very well, it was easy to unpack and lay it on the floor. The paper stencil-cut out which had precut holes in them made it super easy to cut holes in the ceiling beam. The package also included 1/2" concrete wall anchors though I did not use it. These things are not cheap and I appreciate the fact they included them as I am going to use it for something else, but is a viable option for folks who are planning to mount this unit on concrete walls. The material is of high quality construction, very sturdy, but easy enough for just one person to hold it and drive the bolts into the ceiling (make sure you cut pilot holes first). There are plenty of bolts and rubber bushes to mount the brackets onto your TV. The mount includes an opening at the top to pass your power and HDMI cables if you wish to conceal your cables (I did not use them for other reasons). The TV can be rotated 360 degrees. I must say the tilt could have been better (I guess it is +/- 30 degrees?) though I did not need it and could be a minor issue for those who want it mounted high above. Though the product literature says it can be extended upto 60". In my case 48" was perfect for me, though as a test I extended it upto about 54" and realized anything more than that, could be a factor. Overall I am extremely pleased with what appears to be a very sturdy product. I gave 5 stars for Installation and value, though I cannot yet speak to the durability (as it is just been 2 days). If you are looking for a Ceiling TV mount, this is it!

Perfect for What I Needed and Soooo easy to install!!
I wanted a ceiling mount to put a 60 inch TV on my pool deck. This was perfect! It was so easy to install. The directions were helpful and pieces parts were labeled well. The template helped my husband easily get the ceiling mount lined up. There were plenty of different screw sizes and spacers to make sure the rails that go on the tv fit perfectly. I do like how the tv hooks onto the mount and then a piece flips up to put a screw on and make it nice and sturdy. The tilt feature is easy to use and secure. The poles are hollow and there is a hole for the power cord. I may an electrical outlet in the wall, but for now, I am fine with the cord hanging down and using an extension cord. The only negative-ish thing I can see is that I feel it will be a little difficult to raise the TV higher and lower using the telescoping feature. To do so, two bolts with a nut on the opposite side will need to come off, the height readjusted and then the bolts and nuts put back in and tightened. I am not sure if it can be done with one person. I think the height is perfect right now, so I don't see me adjusting it anytime soon.

A great option when a wall mount won't work
I was struggling to find a nice solution for hanging a 65 inch LG OLED above a fireplace because of a stone facade wall around the fireplace. I looked into cutting through the facade but because it was getting overly complicated to run wire back there. instead I looked at ceiling mounts but was unfamiliar with them (outside of seeing them at airports) but since this mount had consistently good reviews I gave it a try. I was surprised at the ease of mounting vs the last few wall mounts I have done, and the variability in adjustments to get the height just right. For my solution I used the medium mount. My TV has a 300 x 200 A X B VESA configuration and fit without issue. I pre measured everything as the VESA mount points the on the LG are on the lower part of the tv, and the space about the mantle was pretty tight but along with the specs posted here I was able to determine everything would fit before buying. Because of the wire feeding holes I could run the HDMI wires up through the ceiling in to a cabinet nearby where my media box is, something that would have been harder to do through the wall. In my setup you can barely see the mount, and most people assume the TV is wall mounted. I was able to leave some room for a future sound bar to hang below the tv. The tilt helps getting the viewing angle just right for the couch. All in all I am quite pleased.

Solid construction and easy to set up.
I was in need of a solution that would allow me to set up a 50" TV in my basement gym, but without increasing clutter or reducing floor space. This ceiling mount bracket was the perfect fit. For reference (see picture) I have 8-foot ceilings in the basement, and the TV is hanging 2.5 feet from the ceiling (which for me, is eye-level). This review is for the 5-foot variant/model. I ran a 25-foot extension cable up the frame and over to the other side of the basement in order to plug in the TV. Here's what I like: 1. this thing was very easy to setup, and the instructions were very clear 2. all mounting hardware was included 3. aesthetically pleasing 4. the bracket tilts to allow flexibility in viewing angles 5. once mounted, could be adjusted higher/lower according to its intended function 6. built-in cable routing in the frame helps to keep things tidy 7. quality construction that feels solid What I don't like 1. I purchased the 5-foot variant/model, as it hangs from my ceiling right now, I cannot adjust the TV to go any higher. This is fine for me since I like the screen at eye level, but be aware that if you wanted it to go higher, you might need to purchase the 3-foot model. (still possible to adjust the TV down) Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this bracket and have found it to offer great functionality and to be excellent value for the money. Recommended.

This thing is a solid beast
This is the 2nd ceiling mount I have installed in the house and I'm considering replacing the other one with one of these. All of the parts are very well made and very sturdy. I have no doubt that it can easily hold over 100lbs on it. TV sets on the mount solid and it has plenty of adjustments. The only thing I didn't like was you are limited on the types of cables you can run through the center tube. Power cables will not work as there are supports inside the tube that block you from pushing the head through it. Smaller cables like HDMI or coax cables work just fine. For my setup I bought a long strip plug, cut the end off of it and ran it straight up the pipe and into the ceiling to a junction box and hard wired it into the electrical system. The plus side is there is no electrical box visible in the room, so it looks very clean.

Elegant but make sure you have a safe installation
I bought this mount to get our plasma screen up off of our equipment cabinet so the center channel speaker would not be blocked and to raise the screen up a little. The setup is in the corner since a fireplace is on one wall, large window on the front, and French doors in the back, and the hallway to the rest of the house on the fourth wall; thus in a corner a wall mount would not reach even with an extending arm. The simple black vertical tube is elegant and works perfectly for us. My wife’s complaint is the mounting bracket is also black on the white ceilng and I haven’t painted it yet. My complaint was that it took me awhile to figure out working mounting bolts since the ones supplied couldn’t work for my ceiling. My house has 5/8” drywall and this room has a cathedral ceiling with a fairly shallow pitch. But the joists here and throughout the house have perpendicular wooden strips below to which the drywall is affixed. That creates a gap to the joist which is is why the large 2 inch wood screws would not work and also makes it hard to find the joists with a stud finder. The other bolts provided were for cement installations. I could have used longer wood screws but wasn’t sure where the joist was going to line up where I wanted it. I had to do some research to find an acceptable drywall anchor. Many of them are not recommended for ceilings, vertical installation. Even when they are, you have to be cautious when insulation is involved. You want to make sure you have double the rated weight spec of your tv plus the mount, which is around 35 lbs. and the vertical mounting strength of anchors is half of the horizontal mount strength, typically. So the only kind worth considering for a larger tv are toggler snap toggle ora similar competitor. They hold a lot of weight and are easy to install.

Major Game Changer for Our Garage Setup
I love my Mount-It ceiling TV mount! I bought this for the second floor of our detached garage, and it has been a major game changer. It frees up space, looks clean, and works exactly the way I hoped it would. Installation was straightforward, the mount feels solid and secure, and the range of motion is perfect for adjusting the TV to any angle. Absolutely love this — highly recommend!

Very nice
Very nice, solid construction, easy for 1 person to assemble and install. Only complaint I have is it's a bit flimsy for turning because bracket is held with 4 bolts in a row, would be sturdier if they were off set.
