How do I get his head to stay up in robot mode?

Ours won't. This thing is awful. It won't stay transformed.

How do you play with this in just truck mode? It automatically transforms with very little movement.

Once you put it into truck mode, you need to insert the sword into the back of the truck. It locks it in place. Pull it out and and move the truck forward to transform back into robot mode.
