I'm going to echo what a couple of other reviewers said here. I have a Sony A7c and overall I do really like the camera. However, it's biggest drawback is the shallow grip when using larger lenses. This cage improves the ergonomics of the camera dramatically without adding too much bulk. I was thinking when I purchased it I would take it off and on depending on the size of the lens, but now that I have it on the camera I think I'll just leave it. I know the overall purpose of this product is to attach other accessories to the camera, but for me the extra length to the grip is the primary draw. I saw a few other grips floating around out there but they all seemed cheap and from potentially shady sellers. This fits the bill perfectly!

The A7C is a great camera, but many can agree that the grip is shallow and not that pleasant to hold. This cage fixes that issue and makes the camera more comfortable to hold. However, it makes the camera a little heavier, but nothing too crazy. Installation was straightforward, and I was provided with all the necessary equipment to get it secure on the camera. I don't see myself ever removing this cage from my A7C.

My main reason for buying this is the additional security provided by the larger grip. Doesn't work with my 150mm-50mm Tamron

This is my first cage. The weight that it adds to the camera is really nice. Made it more stable. Grip feels really good in hand. Feels like holding a big body dslr(which I love more than mirrorless). Solved my problem of vertically mounting on my gimbal. Also addee protection and more professional look & feel.

Its build quality is fantastic. It doesn’t add too much weight but it definitely adds some oomph. Great for accessories and THAT GRIP 😫😫😫. Grip is grippy what can I say 🙏. Been using it for almost half a year now, no issues. Don’t expect it to absorb a drop(-1,000,000 aura if you drop it). But it will prevent small scratches and reduce wear and tear on it.
