Does the vent close completely preventing draughts and does it open sufficiently to give good extraction from an existing inn line fan

The centre disc in the middle of the vent is on a screw thread so it will screw all the way down and you can wind it out as far as you like. It doesn't have a rubber seal but screwed down should close off the vent sufficiently to stop drafts.

What is the diameter size of the front plate that fixes to the ceiling for the 4” size please?

Mine is: approx. 55-60mm Hard to measure across the ceiling, any more accurately!
