Perfect lock for my eBike.
I love this lock for securing my eBike. Here's my thoughts on it: PROS: -Quicker and easier than traditional bike locks. You don't have to thread it through your bike; just clamp it to a rack and you are secure. -Very cool looking. Looks like your bike is handcuffed to the rack. -I feel confident locking my bike with this. The device is formidable, heavy and beefy; I doubt anyone would even try to break it. -Hangs nicely out of the way on the center tube of my frame. CONS: -Probably too heavy for weight conscious, lycra clad, performance road bicyclists. -The key mechanism on some can be sticky. I followed the advice of other reviewers and returned the first one because the key didn't turn well or unlock smoothly. The replacement is perfect and I am extremely happy with it.

After reading the reviews about failing locks, I was hesitant. But know I'm not a complete idiot like I feel some of these reviewers might be I went ahead and tried these. Love the build quality, nice and tough, have a good weight to them (although might be too heavy for some bicyclers). I throw these in the front basket of my bicycle and its not too much added weight. Main thing I've noticed, If you go with these, you need to be confident in your purchase like with anything else. Meaning take both keys, and open them with ease with EACH cuff. Making sure there is no resistance, and its an obviously functioning piece of equipment. If you're one of the guys/girls who somehow gets a pair and you're having trouble opening the lock right out of the box, I think you better use you're head and stop right there and return it. Luckily theyve made it through my initial 20 lock/unlocks out of the box and 10 or so trips since I've started using them. 9/10 would cuff again.

This is an awesome lock. There is no lock that can not be broken.
This lock is the fastest version to lock your bike without it having to be heavy or needing an additional padlock to carry around. Yes it can be cut off...not like a padlock easy or freezing off like a cable lock or D-lock which can be twisted off by turning the bike and popping it. As far as the key I have never had it get stuck. I lubricate the mechanism and keep it clean. When you store it outside especially, during winter or rain and in racks that are under trees or subject to debris yes. I live where bikes get stolen a lot. Leaving your bike outside overnight period, it will be messed with. I bring it in at home, yes carry it up. Going out I park in racks but not in the ones that don't have a lot of foot traffic or park near the attendant and just say hi to them. Let them see me an my bike. I know how boring that job is and a compliment and smile go a long way. Lastly if I need an overnight stay, I arrange a secure place inside. I never had a situation that on the street is my only option over night. If someone wants your bike, they will get it. Period. Master Lock has always backed me up. Yes, out of many locks I had 1 lemon. They replaced it free of charge. I feel for anyone when they have someone steal or damage their bike. I like this Lock....Thank you.

Interesting Security Product
Received this product and cuffed two scooters to each other. I appreciate the fact they are not 15 pounds like a lock and chain might be, and they are easy to carry and use. I often travel with a good amount of gear and cargo. This already adds performance sapping weight. I don't need to add more with a 15 pound lock and chain further holding my 125cc scooter back. These weigh just under 5 pounds. I researched these on youtube. One vid came up of a locksmith picking them, but he had to place the cuff very tightly in a vice to achieve proper tension and position, keep his hands very steady, and work precisely. All this going for him and it was still a difficult pick that took him more then a few minutes. And he knew exactly what he was doing, and all about the locks. Another guy had one break closed on his bike. It would not open. It took him about a minute to cut through a cuff with a power grinder. For the price and the unconventional look and operation of the product that is more then good enough for me. The cuffs are easy to open and close, but not so much to unlock. It's a finesse job, unlocking. The key is designed to barely go in, and once in its a gentle twist and turn and it unlocks. If....it turns in the first place. You may have to try a few times depending on the position of lock and key, but that is a small complaint. Lock a bit hard to open? No problem there! I think if you got this product to supplement existing locks and chains or to replace said lock and chains, you will be happy with the product. Especially at this price. If you need a long chain, lots of slack, or just like to have chain up options, these won't be for you. Anything you cuff to you will have to be close to. And of course the cuff means no wrapping a chain around a telephone pole or street light. But otherwise I would say these are worth a purchase if wanting to keep your bikes as secure as they can be. If a thief wants your stuff he will find a way. But I have a feeling these cuffs may keep him moving along rather then hassle with something that isn't a chain, conventional lock, or cable. I am glad I got these. I hope I am still glad if a thief ever decides to gives 'em a go.

A tough, heavy-duty lock that is imposing just to look at it. Thieves won't want the challenge. High security all around!
This is my second purchase of this line of Master Locks. The pictures and descriptions do not provide an adequate appreciation for how large this lock is, how heavy-duty it is, and how secure it will make anything you protect with it. While no lock will prevent professional or determined thieves, this certainly is a solid deterrent to make a thief think twice and move onto something easier. I have another version of this lock which is the cuff and looped cable. Together, they meet all of my outdoor security needs with a motorcycle or other conveyance. Great for securing items on a trailer or in the bed of a pickup truck. These locks are significantly more expensive in stores, if you can find them, and much cheaper on Amazon than they are directly through Master Lock. The only downside is that if you lose the key, you'll need to retrieve the second key or pay a significant amount for a locksmith or mechanic with heavy-duty tools. Even the 9 link design is intended to inhibit using leverage to "break" the lock. While I have used these to secure a bicycle, the lock is big and heavy; it does the job, but more suitable for scooters or motorcycles. Not a small lock, but a near perfect security solution.

Wow. What more needs to be said!!!
These things are unreal. Heavy duty super strong beautiful. Worth every cent. I bought them for my motorcycle due to all the common thefts with bikes going on. I ended up getting another set for the back wheel to. I might order 5 more for various lawn mowers and items people usually steal from garages. These will be on my bike when I’m not riding wether I’m home or out to dinner and leaving my bike. It’ll make it that much harder for the bike to be stolen. A huge deterrent that’s for sure. I just can’t believe the quality and look of these. Just amazing quality beyond expectation for the cost. Fabulous. Don’t hesitate. Buy extras. They can be used for anything. Seriously nice!!!

Easy on Easy Easy Off
This is an excellent lock. Very heavy, but that should be expected from a lock that's so difficult to cut. You can lock your bike, scooter, or motorcycle and have the peace of mind that this will not be cut unless the thief has a power tool. The majority of thieves are not carrying power tools in their backpacks. They are looking for an "easy cut" ,and this is not the one. Tip: Make sure you lubricate the locking mechanism with silicone on a regular basis to insure that the locking mechanism does not jam on you. If the locking mechanism starts gathering soot, dust, and who knows what else, one day you will park and lock your wheels and come back to a lock that will not open. Then you will be the one to need a power tool to free your ride. Don't say you were not warned! Happy riding guys.

Heavy Metal
I bought this for locking up my standing e-scooter. It is a serious piece of hardware and I do feel that my scooter is secure with it. It's so heavy that I hang my backpack from the scooter handlebars while I'm riding because it's a lot to carry on one's back for a long ride.

Absolutely love Masters Lock street Cuffs
Absolutely love Masters Lock street Cuffs. After reading previous reviews on Amazon.ca about stiff key/lock assemblies, the first thing I did was try the key in both chambers. Both worked with out any flaws. Bought this product after watching two video reviews... One which showed a professional locksmith was able to pick the chamber(with the aid of a table vice) otherwise would have been more difficult, even unsuccessful if the lock was not stabilized.(like in more real life situations) The second video showed someone tried prying, hammering, cutting , and sawing the lock, which after 5 minutes they gave up. The manufacturer has an unconditional full lifetime warranty and limited anti-theft warranty: $3,500 anti-theft protection on whatever bike you are securing.( Once you follow there registration procedure) Overall a great investment for your peace of mind.
