They have the soft material all over. I own two or three other of the competitions types with the hard plastic bottoms and I like these more. They have just the right amount of support.

Q: Have these been discontinued by spenco? i can't find my size (men's 8-9.5) anywhere. they cured my heel pain. hard sole version doesn't fit.
