A 2-player game coop game that can't be played solo? What mechanic does this game use that makes it so a solo player can't play as 2-players coop-ing?

Hi there, Thanks for asking! A large part of gameplay for The Crew revolves around players attempting to communicate and work together to accomplish tasks, without actually having the ability to speak to each other. This communication aspect does not translate well into a single-player experience. Though there is an enjoyable two-player variant included in the rules, the game is designed with 3-5 players in mind. Thanks for reaching out and have a fun day! Regards, Thames and Kosmos Technical Support

Is this the new English version?

Hi there, Yes, this is the English-language version of the game. Kind regards, Thames & Kosmos Technical Support

Does this version have the improved card quality?

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. The Crew hasn't been released for an English-language audience until now, so at this time it is the only version available. Our card quality aligns with the card quality of other Thames & Kosmos releases. We stand by the quality of our product and ask that you contact us at support@thamesandkosmos.com if you have any issues! Kind regards, Thames & Kosmos Technical Support Team

I recently placed an order with Amazon as the seller. Is it the second edition with cards that have the white outline behind the numbers?

The second edition is available. If you're getting the game from Thames & Kosmos it will be the second edition. If it's from another seller, it's hard to say.
