Is there a bottle labeled specifically for "lacquer thinner"?

I just got this one and labeled it myself.

Can you store acetone in the bottle?

You sure can. I keep Acetone in this bottle to use for cleaning before TIG welding. You will lose some Acetone to evaporation, but it isn't much due to that straw opening being so small.

Will this work with Lacquer thinner ?

Yes, low density polyethylene (LDPE) has excellent resistance against lacquer thinners

Does this work in an inverted position?

No. There is a plastic pickup tube near the bottom of the bottle that picks up the liquid. There is a small hole near the top of the tube that adds aeration to the liquid.

Use it with your hummingbird feeders moats

I don’t work in a lab. I bought this dispenser bottle for a completely different reason. My hummingbird feeders can become overrun by ants unless I keep the “ant moat” filled with water. These feeders are hanging on the eaves of the house, and it’s a stretch to reach them. Enter the “acetone dispenser.” Fill it with water. You can stand below the feeder, reach up, squirt water from the bottle, and fill the moats. Elegant solution.
