SK68/1xLED UV-365nm Light

I purchased these for a trip to the Grand Canyon where we camped out for five days. The ostensible purpose was to use to scan our tents as well as the ground for scorpions because these have - according to AI - the right black light wavelength to show up bugs and such critters as to other wavelengths of black light. Trust me, I did my research. These work. While of course, we didn't see a single scorpion, because there weren't any the whole trip, and we didn't see any rattlesnakes either although there were apparently a lot around. So the question then becomes what are these good for – well in testing them out before we went, I also found out they're extremely good if you turn out the lights in any carpeted room in finding urine stains from pets. Of course these don't get rid of them. You'll have to find a different solution for that, but at least you know, particularly for renting a place, how bad the rugs really are.! As to quality, these are very well-made and have a very strong metal casings and are very small and can clip onto a hiking belt. They also have a telescopic extension for a wide beam and a lesser beam. They also come in a pack of two and are a great gift for anybody who needs a portable black light for this purpose. The question is who needs them for this particular purpose. ? I gave one away to our camping guide because I don't expect to go looking for scorpions again soon, and I kept the other as a curiosity. I trust you will find uses for them if you're looking for something like this, so I recommend them highly for those who are into bugs and stain spotting in dark rooms ;) if you look on AI, I'm sure you will find other uses – just possibly!

Absolutely great price for the quality. My husband wanted his own black light and bought his in a name brand that his employees use at his power plant to detect leaks. They had it on Amazon and it was five times more expensive than this one! Honestly, other than having a weird little laser beam on it I didn't see any difference in the quality of the blue light in comparison to mine for the purpose I needed it for. Mine was purchased to use in the garden to find hornworms on my tomato plants. I was able to find one right away the first time I used it. My suggestion however... do not use this thing to look around your house! It will freak you out! Everything illuminates! Dust, cleaning fluid residue! That is especially shocking to see where a mop hits the corner of a wall and splashes cleaning solution into the corners of your wall. Anywhere condensation create drips on the ceiling in the bathroom where it's dusty... And the water combines with the dust and driesbinto spots that glow! It honestly makes everything look like a crime scene! All our hard surface floors glowed from build up from the chemicals in the cleaning products. You could see the path we walk in our house that kept the residue from building up And then to either side the residue streaks were very visibly clear. I ended up googling what glows under black light in your household and found that basically everything does! Dust and cleaning solution especially. If you're really wanting to drive yourself crazy and are a clean freak, this will be maddening for you! It made me want to go around and wipe down every single wall... But how do you get rid of the residue from a cleaning solution? It also really made me realize how much dust settles on the wall that you cannot see with your naked eye. So do yourself a favor... do not walk around your house with this thing!

Needed one 365nm light, so I bought the two pack. Both lights in my box were labeled 365nm. Definitely a shorter wavelength than my 395nm lights, but lots of bleed through so it makes things glow inside a circle of white, visible light.Powered by one AA battery, it doesn't have the power to show pet stains beyond three or four feet in the dark. It's an excellent small light to shine on minerals at 12" to 16" to make the colors pop, but don't expect to find yooperlite with it in the wild unless you trip and the light falls right on the rock.Small enough to carry in a pocket to test for uranium or vaseline glass or marbles, or anything that reacts better to a shorter wavelength.Takeaway: Works for finding stains. Good for antique hunting. Makes most minerals fluoresce at least a bit at 12" in daylight; excellent to show rocks at 12" in darkness. Nowhere near powerful enough to even try to hunt any fluorescing minerals under any conditions.

I've purchased a few different UV lights, trying to find true wavelength and intensity, and these are a great find on a budget.Small, strong, smart.These rugged little lights take a beating out on the trail, and still continue to work well. Putting out a true 365nm beam of bright UV light, these lights are great for a multitude of uses.We use these lights primarily to show off and check for UV reaction in minerals, and they work as well as lights priced much higher. I've actually had people with much more expensive lights ask to use these. We've also found plenty of scorpions and scared ourselves in public restrooms with these!Bottom line. If you want a really high functioning UV light, spend the extra money on the UV BEAST. If you're looking for the best budget friendly, true UV light, get this.

Works fine. I like it uses 3A battery instead of lithium. Lit up old uranium glass well.

Not sure if I already wrote a review, but this is BY FAR, my favorite black light for cat & kitten rescue and seeing if the kitty has ringworm lesions.365nm is the recommended wavelength for that purpose, these are well priced, small in size, and I've got at least 6 other brands of black light, and this is my go-to. I buy them for our rescue and provide foster parents with it.

Great little lights that are super portable at a low price. Work fine for up-close details. Perfect size to take in your pocket or purse to the flea markets. If you are looking for a light for yooping/hunting, you will need a more powerful light however.

Well made lights. Order other lights in this price range and they weren't worth the money. Highly recommend this ultra violet light. It's not overly bright but lights up the hornworms on our tomatoes better than the other lights we purchased.
