A great addition to my Samsung dryer
I had a new exhaust event put in on the side of my home, rather than having it running through the roof of my two-story home. The washer and dryer each are 30 inches wide so it left very little room to get behind to clean out the dryer vent hose and when I did it sometimes fell out when going through a few dry cycles. Needless to say with very little room to operate I needed something much more durable that would allow the vent to stay in place. Another product I purchased on Amazon worked, but it didn’t allow a 90 degree turn at the back of the dryer. This product solved all my problems and frustration! It was super easy to put in the foil vent into the housing and the design is genius and simple to keep it from falling out. The Amazon video goes through 4 simple steps: (1) put your existing or new vent hose into the plastic connector, (2) slide the connector into the plastic housing (mine was harder than it looked and I didn’t want to put a hole in the hose so I was careful), (3) slide the rubber seal onto the back of the dryer (make sure the rubber flanged end/stop is facing in the correct direction - check the illustration) and (4) slide the housing on the back of the dryer. Mine was a tight fit, but I know it’s not going anywhere. Now just slide the dryer back to the wall and ensure the housing slightly rests against the wall. The design is perfect and I’m confident the hose is no longer going to fall out. This new setup essentially allows my hose not to kink so I’m also confident the dry cycles will be more efficient and I’ll have less lint buildup in the hose over the same period of time.Overall it took my adult son and me longer to move the dryer out and back so I would say this is an easy DIY project. This particular model didn’t come with a new hose, but they’re relatively cheap. So if you have a plastic hose now would be the time to get an aluminum foil one!

A bit difficult to put on but works.
It was bit difficult to put on but worked as expected. We are happy to be able to finally push our dryer to the wall and not affecting the air flow. Before we were unable to push our dryer all the way back with out smashing the vent hose affecting air flow.We did also purchase a new vent hose to help assist in preventing air flow issues.

Easy fast install!
This item installs as easily as it shows in the video. I did have to use mu hammer a little to totally flatten the vent pipe coming out of the wall. I also found out that a 90 degree elbow fits perfectly over the plastic and tightens easily with a clamp as well!

FURIOUS!
Nothing makes me angrier than when I order a product--with videos, no less--that is so far and away WORSE than I can even imagine it to be! I am a hands-on, DIY gal who can usually figure out anything. After realizing that our clothes dryer is probably the culprit filling our home with dust, I got up at 3:00am Friday to peruse Amazon for a better duct/vent system for the laundry room. This looked like the answer right here! Not only is there a sort of demo video, there's also one with "the guy" showing me just how easy it is to install and how wonderful a product it is. As expected, it arrived yesterday--today, I thought while my husband napped, I'd get this bad-boy hooked up. O!M!G! In that video, the velcro straps look pliable and able to be cinched up tight: THEY AREN'T. They're rigid--and you cannot pull them tight enough to engage most of the velcro. Then, what bonehead decided that an oval vent was a good female connector for a wired round male hose? NEWS FLASH: IT ISN'T! Maybe, just maybe, if that cinch strap were made of fabric, you could tighten them around your foil hose enough to keep air, dust and lint from flying out there, but they're made of hard plastic, almost as rigid as the unit itself. Did they microwave or boil the straps in the video making them soft? I could make no headway no matter how hard I tugged. Then, with a string of irritating failures with this thing, the unit would not stay on the back of the dryer OR the stub at the wall. At first, I got out a roll of Gorilla Tape and started wrapping it every way possible--of course, by then my husband is up and wants to know why I am even doing this since it was "just a little dust." I was covered with lint and sweat--and I am no closer to solving this vent problem than I was Friday morning. Finally, I peeled off the yards of tape, picked this thing up along with those maddening straps--and put my old dryer hose back the way it was. I am calling customer service RIGHT NOW---normally, I would accept defeat and just throw the item away. This time, I want a credit or refund. I have never purchased anything less functional and less user-friendly. If other people managed to get it installed, my hat goes off to them. WORST PURCHASE EVER!

What a waste
I was using the semi rigid flexible vent pipe and with that you have to extend the lower few inches or else it will never snap into place. The silicone ring doesn't actually grip the plastic tube, It just for a seal. Pushing it up against the wall is what holds it in place. The whole experience was frustrating and a total waste of time and money. I will never buy this overpriced piece of junk again or ever recommend that anyone purchase this.

No more pinched vent tube's for the dryer.
I love the product. As anticipated it co.es with one 90 degree rigid plastic connector that prevents the dryer hose from kinking or getting crushed when you push the dryer back toward the wall. I bought 2 of them and used one on each end of the dryer vent tube. My connection come straight out of the wall (like most.) So I hooked one up to the wall and the other up to the dryer vent port. The hose gets locked into the well designed clips. Just follow the instructions and this product works very well. I watched the you tube video and it was very easy to follow. I would buy this any time I need to hook up a dryer that has any offset to the wall vent connection. 5 out of 5. This makes sure the link goes out and keeps the dryer working better.
