Disappointed.
Chromatic aberration, and not the smallest of lenses.

Exactly what is promised!
So far so good! Got this the other day and already got out using it for some dirt track racing! Pretty sharp and decent at low light levels with the 1.8. Easy to carry as I had my main lense on and just threw this one in my pocket as I walked around. I think every Canon photgrapher should own this lense as it is so cheap and great for the money!

A versatile lens for its price
Five stars because it really is a great lens for the money.I am very happy with this lens. It is light and compact, which makes it ideal for everyday use. For me, its angle of view is universal, it is suitable for both landscapes and portraits. The quality of the materials is perhaps inferior to older EF lenses, but overall it is quite decent. The focusing speed is good, and the image quality at wide aperture was pleasantly surprising. The picture comes out sharp, with nice bokeh.Another plus is the small filter size (43 mm). This means that a polarizing filter or other accessories are inexpensive, which is very nice. Please note that the lens does not have an image stabilizer.Despite this, I really like this glass. It has become my favorite for shooting.
