Have you ever seen a magician make something seem to disappear Did it make you wonder if anything can really just vanish? To answer these and many other questions, author Paul Fleisher looks at the scientific laws that describe how matter and energy behave. Through simple experiments and concepts that are easy to understand, readers are introduced to the basic principles of matter and thermodynamics in a fun, exciting way. This edition of Paul Fleisher’s Secrets of the Universe has been fully revised by the author and features all of the original illustrations by Patricia Keeler. Review: Worth the Price! - I absolutely love the Secrets of the Universe series!! I use this book as a supplement to my home school science curriculum. This book helps children (or adults) to learn how science is applied to every day activities. My son has a really difficult time applying concepts learned in one environment to another but has surprisingly learned to apply some of the concepts in this book to situations that are not even discussed in the book. The books are somewhat expensive, but they are well worth the price!! Review: Not a book - The information in this is just fine but it's not a book at all. It's a tiny booklet. Very high price for such a small booklet.
