Is the rubber on the d-ring removable?

Yes, the D ring Shackles on the Tow Hitch Receiver contains a rubber protective sleeve and two isolators to prevent the D ring from wearing when using the tow strap, but if you don’t need this rubber protective sleeve, you can also remove it, if you don't need it.

So i want to buy this product but i want the yellow one to match my front d ring shackles. how can i get that color?

I think if there is NOT OPTION for that color, there is OTHER VENDORS that might have them on AMAZON... OR THIS IS AN ALTERNATIVE... TOTALLY UP TO YOU... buy ANY COLOR, and SPRAY PAINT IT ANY COLOR YOU WANT...!

Will the D-ring accept a 5/8 lock through both lock pin holes or will the threads block it? I’m worried about D-ring theft.

The "yellow" hitch is not actually yellow.

If you're hoping it will match other yellow items on your vehicle (e.g. brake calipers, etc), it probably won't.
